RGL - players recommend games and they draw what to play next. Speaking of, I did not submit my games yet.

You can try it for fun and submit your score. Lots of games I would never try without RGL, including this one.

Ah, Doom 3. I wanted to like it, but I couldn't. I wanted it to be better than Half-life 2, and it wasn't.

For me, Quake 4 was the game Doom 3 should have been. It got the mix of horror and action right, featured lots of satisfying shoot-outs, and was just more fun to play IMO.

I didn't say it was a bad game, Raven had a habit of taking id Software's tech and making better games with it. But it definitely looks exactly like Doom 3.

I hope Microsoft can pull them from the Call of Duty salt mines.

So I don't have much time to game at the moment, as my wife has recently given birth to our second son. Getting enough sleep is now a priority.

Still, I have managed to play some Ion Fury, and I'm enjoying it alot. It's captured the thrills of an intense and ballsy nineties shooter perfectly, and is taking me back to the days of Doom and Duke Nukem 3d.

Indeed. I just wish the oneliners wouldn't be so terribly unfunny They're not even really original as they're rehashing a lot from previous games. For example.

Shadow Warrior (terrible Asian mockup voice): "Ohohohohoho Sticky Bomb like-u yu!"
Ion Fury (flat female voice): "Bowling Bomb likes you!"

I get it, it is a reference. But she just doesn't have any personality so all I hear is "pwap pwap pwap pwaaaaaap".

* Time Pilot 84 (Arcade) for RGL
* Cyberpunk 2077 - only main line left with couple side jobs and one NCPD that I will not be able to finish since crate is blocking access
* James Pond - on A500 , 4th level ATM.

Bought a Steam Deck and have been hammering Slay the Spire (my god how addictive) and Factorio, which is almost as good as Settlers

Gratz on your purchase!

Factorio is fun and addictive, but I am not sure I could play it on small screen.... getting too ol' for that...

The smaller screen has been less of a problem than the controls which are a bit tricky in my clumsy hands. It is however, a beautiful machine.

Do you remember the name? AFAIK the versions on GOG and Steam should have all DLC that were released for the game.

Yeah, that sucks. That's really the problem with those 'All in one' versions. They could just continue to sell the DLC on their own. Ah well, good luck 'finding' the DLC then.

Oblivion:

My horse has vanished

We were attacked by a bear ---
I jumped off, killed the bear ---
Horse nowhere to be seen

The borrowed horse has made its way back to the Priory.

Suppose I could deactivate + reactivate the mod.

After watching this rollercoaster ride of a postmortem video:

[ Show youtube player ]

I've been playing Crashlands. A fun crafting action RPG with a good dose of humor. Reminiscent of Don't Starve but less vindictive and more colourful. The game had been on my radar years ago but for some reason, never gave it a go even though it is right up my alley. Maybe because at the time I was already playing Don't Starve a whole lot, who knows. What kind of resparked my interest is that the game has no inventory system. If there is one thing I hate in games... it's inventory systems.
