Still into Cannon Fodder, slowly progressing (playing only bit per day, usually during break)
I tried to restart Control, but it seems that I am lost somewhere in mission 6 or 7. Will take some effort to figure out what I have to do next. |

Done with Control, it was nice 'trip'. Played bit of Hitman.
On Cannon Fodder got to the same mission I got stuck last time - Mission 19. After multiple tries, managed to finish it without loosing any soldiers to just get stuck at loading main screen back. According for my 15 yeas old notes, this is the same place I got stuck last time. |

Doing Cannon Fodder and trying to finish one mission at a time. I doubt I'll be able to finish it but we'll see.
Also another play through of UFO because its been a while. This weekend spent some time playing retro stuff with the kid: We played Rodland, Z-Out and Sensible Soccer. |

For me one mission at the time is a lot. Usually part of the mission at the time is more likely.
![]() As for UFO, I strongly suggest playing Open Source clone - OpenXCom - you need xcom data and it works on all modern OS, and you can change view to modern graphics settings, using HD screen size etc. Also bugs from original versions are fixed. I finished the game couple of times using OpenXCom. Last edited by Anubis; 14 March 2022 at 20:08. |

Appreciate the suggestion friend. Im familiar with Open XCOM but I wanted to play the 1200 version for a change. I find the plodding pace relaxing

"I am on Observation Duty 2". I don't know why but I love games where you have to spot flaws while being on the clock; Papers, Please being a top tier game for me.
So Observation Duty is a series of (currently) 4 games where you have to monitor security cameras looking for ghostly anomalies. Things disappearing, moving, changing size, extra objects appearing, intruders, ghosts, open doors... anything that changes you have to point out and then it gets removed but you have to make the correct report in the correct room. If there are four anomalies active at the same time, you lose. You win when the game clock hits 6 AM and as time progresses the anomalies tend to become more active. Quite a brain tease as you really have to memorize the layout of a room. It's a horror game but it's not too bad, it's light on the jump scares and is more about paintings changing into eerie pictures and statues suddenly looking at you. Great fun with friends, put the game on the TV and see how people start to freak out and question everything ![]() |

I did finally finish UFO againagain. Last surviving trooper too, so that was pretty cool.
For retro gaming, currently playing Battle Isle 1 (trying to beat every map), Battle Squadron (hahahahaha, I am terrible at this) and pondering a playthrough of Syndicate. Also been playing the recent excellent port of Wolfenstein 3D on the miggy and slowly trying to work my way through all of it. |

Is there a cheat for Battle Island or History Line? (one where you have invincibility and/or unlimited depot supplies)

I am not aware of any. The only stuff that I have ever seen online is just the level codes.

Wolfenstein episode 3 down. Fuck you Hitler.
Much shorter levels with more enemies. I am playing on the third difficulty out of 4 (the default when you start the game) but it still had some tough encounters. |
