I have finally shot down all 54 capacitors, and replaced them with excellent quality capacitors (rubycon).

They appear to be security shutters. Presumably the book helps to unlock AmigaDos..

What did you buy today.

While staying in Adelaide on holidays I got given a raspberry pi model b with 8 Gb SD Card, clear case, power brick and usb wi-pi adapter yesterday. Can't wait to get back to Melbourne and play with it!
