Point taken.
I've realized too that it makes much more sense. Less wild shooting. I trust more Amibayers rather than common eBayers. The smaller the group, the better the control over bad business practices. Moreover on Amibay there may be less offers, but it is concentrated on the items I ìm interested in. And prices are less likely to go sky-high.
See you there ;-)

Surely there must be an accelerator there that I can't see or something like that.

It certainly does look suspicious, mind you the 2 main bidders are just novices or maybe as you say its someone opening accounts under different names or getting mates to bid etc to boost the price. They have done so well though, that no-one in their right mind would go even higher

But we all know that there are people out there who may

And as s2325 mentions, there are also manuals so that may be the reason

Are manuals and books e.t.c really worth that ?
I have amiga Format issue one amiga Shopper issue one also amiga shopper issue zero which is a slim magazine that advertised the up and coming amiga shopper, you can not get any earlier than that does this mean I am rich if put on the bay.

Hi there freehand,

as you already guessed we were joking about the manuals

It is amazing what some people will pay for something though, even an empty box just to make their collection complete Some folk really do have more money than sense when it comes to Ebay and some other sites, many a thing has sold that was in dubious condition for more than a brand new item from Amigakit for instance would have cost

Roll up, Roll up.... I have some more games on ebay this week... including a few Amiga games this time... One is Venus Flytrap by Gremlin - I have never seen it on ebay to be honest... anyway take a look... Click here

I think Venus Flytrap could in actual fact be a relatively rare game judging by the offers I am receiving for it... I will let the auction run though... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2306692037...84.m1555.l2649

Um... Care to enlighten someone like me, that has NO idea whats wrong with the posting above? Well, aside from the fact that you should never put stuff on the bags, since they are (highly) conductive on the surface, but i doubt that's what made you upset...

Well, it started at 1Euro, and went all the way up due to bids from 14 different bidders. It might not be what we (well, you guys, i wouldn't know to start with) would want to pay for it, but apparently it's just what it's worth, to them. Or a the very least, some of them.

my point being that Amiga items are way over inflated! even is that guy who had the winning bid actually gonna pay for an item that you can probs get for £100?!

If you can tell me where I can buy one for £100 I'll go buy it now!

Of course rare items in low supply will bid high in eBay, it's the nature of the beast
