That is a nice little collection but for someone who obviously has collected such a nice lot, you would have thought wouldn't have used potty words like console when describing the a1200

I read some place e-bay are going to stop this by wanting a percentage on the postage price in the future.

Think I see in micro mart.

Um, isn't the eBay Fee already a % of the total cost to buyer? Meaning, auction + shipping. I think the only thing that changes is the listing fee. (which you have to pay regardless of if your item gets sold or not)

they already force restricted postage charges onto sellers. The other day I priced up a parcel to around £4.91 to be delivered (cheapest option) and eBay only allowed me to quote £3.25! Guess where the extra money went onto to reclaim that?

and VAT charges on used goods gets on my goat too. Unless it's an actual business why should private sellers be charged VAT on goods when they have paid VAT for them already? That's paying VAT twice... but we're shafted anyway! Gah, rant of the day.

peaple in germany are stopping using paypal as well because of the charges.yes i agree on the vat on goods thing ebay are already making money from the sale.so they dont really need to do that.

I highly doubt he/she will be buying things they don't want just to spite you

It's simple sniping/last second bidding, i do it all the time - if you loose an auction its your own fault for not watching it to the end/not bidding enough....Simple as that.

On the topic of eBay... When ever i find anything i like, i decide what is my absolute maximum to pay for it, and then i just wait. With a few seconds to go i submit my bid. (If anyone doesn't know, this is what is called sniping) If someone outbids me at that price i walk away, as i said, it's all about making up your mind as to how much is worth (to you) before you bid.
B!
