To convert raw to adf:

dtc -m1 -fINPUTFILENAME -i0 -fOUTPUTFILE.adf -i5 -l8

If you have track00.0.raw, your input filename would be track

If you have mycoolfile00.0.raw, the input filename would be mycoolfile

DTC is a bit unique in the way how it doesn't allow spaces between the switch and the parameter.

Steffest or Simon, please answer my question or do you plan to reimage none of the broken disks?

I don't understand
If a disk is broken, why should be Kryoflux able to restore it ?

I don't think such a hostile attitude is appropriate in here and certainly not towards someone who has done such a big effort towards the community.

It can't as such, but it can dump the disk including any errors that may be there and then people can work on restoring the contents from that image. If you just dump the faulty disk to ADF then the bad sectors will be missing completely although they may really be 95% complete.

Thanks for the clear explanation demolition

I don't own real hardware to go too much deep in such details

But they are surely important for a preservation project like this one

I think we were clear no ? We did what we could and we are done. Period.

It's just not realistic to expect we are going to go over every single disk with a fault again with a Kryoflux ( well actually I did that with every disk that showed an error while making an adf to our best knowledge ) or keep the disks for an non-existent museum that wants them. Steffest already donated disks to an art project, I have no idea what Dawid is going to do with his disks (and I don't care) and mine are ready to go to the recycling center on Tuesday. And all disk boxes I had are donated to Amigans that could use them in Belgium and Holland.
