Ok, after a bit of trouble working out how I could get the .IMG file auto mounted without having to start StuffIt, point to the .IMG file etc... which you can read in this thread: Shapeshifter - CD-ROM Support

Here is Dark Seed II for the Mac:

So, please just download / extract this archive into "C:\WinUAE"

Yeah, but now I have to rename "Darkseed" --> "Dark Seed" so they are next to each other.

Makes sense though, most places you look list the game as "Dark Seed"; even HOL has it as both:

• Dark Seed
• Darkseed

I would have said the same but after Google'ing; more places have it as "Dark Seed" across the various computer formats / types.

Also, if you look at the Amiga rear boxes then 2 out of 3, and also inside the sequel manual say "Dark Seed".

So, I've now made the executive decision and changed this...

Please do the following:

• Delete the configuration file "C:\WinUAE\Configurations\Darkseed.uae".
• Delete the <gamedir> "C:\WinUAE\Games\Darkseed".
• Download / extract the following archive into "C:\WinUAE".

I like it as two words personally, but whatever you prefer I'm happy with my good man.

I am not from UK mother tongue and I don't see UK as the DE language (meaning that you append words to each other to finally have a kilometer long word that your brain forgot the beginning when you read the end ).
In this regard, as a FR native speaker, I would say two words

Yup, this is why I don't mind adding these Mac games into WinUAE.

It's a nightmare to get these games running, and sometimes if they do actually work, they run way too fast on modern Windows / computers.

For example I have the GOG versions of "Heroes of Might and Magic II - The Succession Wars" and "Ultima VI". Both use DosBox, and "Ultima VI" just gives me a black screen with sound after launching...

Bah, I changed my mind on this one; as I've always know this as "Darkseed"...

As an extra bonus; I've now added the walkthrough for "Darkseed II [RTG] [ShapeShifter]"

So please do the following:

It works fine under a Win 3.1 install using Dosbox (just google Win3xO).

@DamienD It's Dark Seed, and that goes for both of them ;P
