I cannot seem to start up the G4 card with the Prometheus/Firebird. The Harrier refuses to shadow the configuration register block to PCI memory as I can with the Mediator.
The Prometheus is set up much different than the Mediator. With Mediator, at default, Zorro space address matches PCI memory address (so something like 0x40000000 = 0x40000000). With the Prometheus, PCI memory starts at 0 (so 0x40000000 = 0x00000000).

At least now the PPCs on the different cards respond. It complicates stuff a bit for the sonnet library. Have to rewrite lots of stuff.

Some good news :-)

As a matter of interest, has anyone tried the the latest version of AmigaAMP (3.28) on the apocalypse? I can't seem to get it to play without stuttering. All the other versions work fine.

I never had perfect luck with any of the 3.x versions of AmigaAMP. They are not as stable and reliable as 2.25. I can run 2.25 for weeks with no issues (Yes a bit obsessive) any of the 3.x versions I have tested crash eventually, at least for me.

@darrenHD. Have you contacted Spudje? Looking at his wanted post for a Ramsey 4 it looks like he may have a spare DMAC.

Thanks, I'll post to the thread. I don't have anything to trade with him though

Follow up...

3.28 Does skip and shutter for me for a bit now it works perfect. 3.27 also works good. I may replacey 2.25 with 3.27/8, seems a real nice release.

M1 card showing signs of life on Firestorm/Firebird.

Got some output from the M1 card on the Firebird. Also 2D gfx stuff seems to be working. INT2 seems not connected properly resulting in a slow response. Need to check if it is software or hardware related.

Not sure what is wrong yet. 90 milliseconds on a context switch. Normally this is around 300-500 microseconds.

The general idea was that you make a little interposer board that sits under the 040/060 CPU that interfaces with the PCI bridge instead of going through the Zorro bus. Picture Chucky's 040/060 local RAM adapter concept but with a connector that goes directly to the busboard. If someone were to start working on it now, it might be done before half of us are dead of old age.

Yes there are a couple different PMC adapters that have been used other than the Ramix 239. Somewhere in this thread are the answers you seek.

Is there any hope that a Radeon will be working on the AA3000+ someday?
