RISE OF THE ROBOTS!

why!

Cuzz I remember this game when it was in development and the press coverage was intense! they claimed it was gonna be the best beat-em up ever! LOL what a load of poo....

I reckon it was just a fancy looking demo and also could have been the one of the first games that showed what was to come... all fancy graffix and no-gameplay!

I still have my copys of it! in their fancyboxes... the CD32 version is just crap beyond belief... and dont even bother with the disk version!

Question

Question: Does Street Fighter cover both 1 & 2?
If not, then SF2 defintely ought to be added! I can remember thinking what a lousy conversion it was, slow, bad SFX & a diabolical control system.

Glad no-one chose Vigilante. Coz that was quite the neat little side scrolling beat-em-up.

worst miggy game

definitley rise of the robots , as already said the long , long build up & the mag based pre release reviews that got us to part with our cash , did not in any way give anyone a clue as to how the CD based game eventually turned out there have been many PD beat-em -up efforts with more playability

I voted for none of the above, because I think 'Full Contact' is the crappiest beat'em up of them all.
It is just so extremely dificult that it is really hard to win the first fight ! The highest I ever got after smashing joysticks in madness was level 3, afaik. But I won't bother with this shitgame again

I had seen a review of olofight before, indeed it looks bad...

Baaah, full contact isnt any bad, I enjoyed when it was first released, and I remember I have finished it... there was a ninja near the end that was a pain in the ass to beat.

Oh, and that dog also took me sometime. It was rather amusing to kick the dog's ass.

I went for Street Fighter 2 for one big reason-

I bought this turkey. I hated swapping disks up to THREE TIMES waiting for a match to begin on my A500.

35$USD down the tubes, 15 minutes of "fun". Two dollars per minute of fun should be spent calling o numbers. Or Ms. Cleo.

Hooooo

What about "Last Battle" by Elite?

It was average, but not the best of its genre, don't you agree?

It's without doubt the worst "modern" Amiga beat-em-up, but it was probably released at the time with the attitude that Amigans would buy any game released because fewer and fewer games were being published.

Basically, for a few years in the late 90s PD type games were being released as commercial, but fortunately the likes of Clickboom, Hyperion/Titan, Sadeness, and to a lesser extent, Vulcan, showed that despite the Amiga's lack of power, it was capable of a lot lot more!

That one looked like an incomplete Final Fight. I like the musics and gfx although gameplay is non-existant.

And I insist this game was not %100 completed when released. I mean the developers might have completed what they planned but there is a feeling in the game that somthing is missing.

Did you mean some blood?
This game was censored before publishing to prevent some annoying comments from the parents... I remember there is a cheat to activate it!

I think this happened with all system when they are not the "most popular system around" anymore .. we see lots of really "push the hardware to its limits" games but also lots of crap games being released.

I think this happens because users who love the system just go and try to make their games, as the top developers aren't doing it anymore. Sometimes you have guys who can create really good games (like Clickboom), and others who cant (like the guys who made olofight).

I see this happening with the MSX too.. there are some really amazing games being released, but many incredibly crap ones, and because people still buying MSX games today are MSX lovers, they will usually buy ANYTHING that comes, just to support the system.
