A602 is discontinued.

The A603 Memory Expansion is scheduled for the end of this month.

As has already been mentioned elsewhere A603 requires removal or extensive cutting of the RF shield.

Not too much of a hassle to remove it and put it in the attic forever?

I got my 256Meg CF today.

Just using this 256 CF card to transfer my ADFs I want over to my 4gig CF Card acting as a Hard Disk. When I get it to work

I should have my kickstart 3.1 Rom Chip Friday. Plus it comes with AO 3.1

Also my Replacement EasyADF Disk.

All this stuff lying about and not being used lol.

Until I get WHDload, can i copy the adfs to the HD and run from there? or am I being to simple minded?

Must take it carefully knowing me I will bend the Pins!! lol.

I have been looking at WHDload and it looks a little complicated or there is a lack of info that a simpleton needs...

Once you have transfered the ADF's over you can write them back to floppy disks using adfblitzer (on aminet) then play them from the floppies.

Whdload requires game slaves to run not adf's, you should download KG's Whdload packs from here.

Or throw it in the bin, like I did!
I still don't see any purpose to these shields today.

The original 40MB HD that came inside my A600HD worked fine with the A600 but would not work or be recognised by a PC IDE Interface

As a General rule though, I think that if you have 37.300 & want full compatibility and capacity (4GB of course) these days just go for KS 3.1 as Rob has done above.

Regards
TC
A600 with 37.350 should support every hard drive or compact flash up to 4 GB (max capacity for partition = 2 GB). Obviously KS 3.1 could be better for other purposes, but in my opinion I find it a bit excessive on A600 (slower and without AGA vs. A1200).

HUH?!?

How can a CF card be write protected. You install the new easyadf? and pcmcia patch?

I know you already have the PCMCIA patch already, you just skip that part (where it says, it will add stuff to your startup) and tell it to install the updated, FAT95 etc etc.

Have you quick formatted the card on your Amiga?

What card you using?
