A bit old thread but maybe in 4 years someone found new sources. It's really hard to find more than TOSEC archive :/

I only wish the Amiga had an emulator for the x68k. Its games are almost perfect arcade conversions, much better than the Amiga in most cases.
As a machine it was rarely seen outside of japam. That is probably the reason there are so few games around, and even then, many of them are only available in japanese language. |

This machine is japan only.
X68000 was more powerfull than amiga and hardware was very similiar to many arcade boards. That's why arcade ports are so faithful. |

The spec is not just similar, it is that of very complex arcade games. |

Well, the X68k line was not more powerfull than the Amiga. The fact was that it was inferior in all aspects (use wikipedia). But it was widely available in Japan, un like the Amiga, and had the backing of arcade developers such as Konami, Namco, Capcom, etc which allowed it to have almost 1:1 arcade conversions.

What? Inferior with a 68000@10 MHz, 1 MB Ram+1 MB VRam, 512x512 pixel with 65536 colors? Well this was the first model, later X68000 were better.

X68000 might have superior hardware, but what about the price ? How many Amiga 500 could you buy for the price of a X68000 in 1987 when it was released ? |
