I've provided you with all the necessary info above and a link to another workbench for winuae, AIAB, but our communication seems to be on different levels in this thread.

---------------------------------------
This was it in a nutshell:

You need to have a HDF file containing NOTHING but "system.zip".

Go to the hard drive tab, select this HDF and make sure under device it's listed as being DH0:

Place the ClassicWB_install.adf provided into DF0:, boot and follow the instructions, inserting WB3.0 disk when told to do so.
----------------------------------------

As a final attempt, here is an alternative method I used to help djay:

----------------------------------------
Please follow carefully:

1. Unpack system.zip using Winzip (or any other archive program) into a named PC directory of your choice. Ignore any errors (if any) due to the PC's incompatible file system.

2. Open Winuae and add the PC directory (the one you unpacked system.zip into) under the harddrives tab. Don't have any other harddrives mounted at this stage, including any HDFs. Make sure the directory is labelled DH0: under "device".

4. Run the install disk and follow the instructions. Make sure you insert the Workbench 3.0 disk when asked to do so.

5. Remove the install disk and reset.
-----------------------------------------------

And as a final final attempt, I've re-written some of the instructions recently for the next release. I'll link them, but I'm afraid that's all I can offer.

Indeed, i got the feeling you think i am a LoonyBin whit Amiga's. :theparano

I know how to handel WinUAE, paths, Geting HD's Good. Build CLI commands. And More. Yust not all.

All i ask is, What is the Start Zip? how is it called on your great site? How do i get lost of all the Dots (Icons).
I can replace them bit by bit, but that will take hours, days.

I had probs whit installing the Zip. Ok maybe the Set of WB 3.0 has errors. i got 2 difrent sets.

In the zips is also a instruction, in here is this

This addon pack
What i understand from here is that this is a Addon for a Basic thing you made.

For a better or faster way of communication, you have MSN?
My msn adres is my e-mail adres.
(i have no other Communy things yet, as i am forced to do new install for win xp a wile ago)

No, I think you are a LoonyBin "whit" english. Especially reading and following advice.

1) Install system.zip from ClassicWB_ADV_SP_V1.zip FIRST
2) Install copper.zip from Copper_ADV_SP_V1.zip SECOND

Instructions above. If you follow them, the dots will disappear! This is my last post - can't do anymore sorry!

Best of luck! And look, you have more than ten posts, you made it!

why didn't I answer Peanutuks "meaning of life" question, much easier!

Ignore the TZ, just means the time zone wasn't saved.

Use FULL format instead of QUICK format. Apparently, you have to FULL format a HDF from a WInUAE workbench in Win XP???

No such problem in Win ME.

Thought it may have been this problem

Well, I have no idea what you're doing wrong. I've covered everything.

PLEASE SAY YOU'VE TRIED THE OTHER METHOD I'VE OUTLINED:

1. Unpack "System.zip" using Winzip (or any other archive program) into a named PC directory of your choice. Ignore any errors (if any) due to the PC's incompatible file system.

2. Setup WinUAE with a configuration that at least matches the minimum specs outlined in the text file provided.

3. Add the PC directory (the one you unpacked "System.zip" into) under the harddrives tab. Don't have any other harddrives mounted at this stage, including any HDFs.
Make sure the directory is assigned as DH0: under "device".

4. Boot from the install disk/ADF provided and follow the on screen instructions.

I have a feeling you haven't bothered.

Is your PC stable? Overclocked? Seems strange to stop half way like that. Post your WinUAE configuration.

ALSO HAVE YOU TRIED THE METHOD I'VE OUTLINED IN MY LAST POST - UNZIP SYSTEM.ZIP IN WINDOWS USING SOMETHING LIKE WINZIP!

Have you?

I'm NOT talking about placing system.zip into a PC directory and mounting that as DH0:

I'm talking about unzipping the actual system.zip in windows.

Sigh, anyway.............

Thanks for your config. Hang on LOL!
You said you knew how to use winuae?

That is overkill! How much ram has your PC got? It might be dieing with the settings below!
Refreshing every forth frame? How fast is your PC?
JIT needs a cache or it's useless.
Leave the priority at default values.
Be aware floppy speed at 800% might cause problems.

You need to find out what each winuae setting is for, especially the ram and JIT settings.

Try this: WinUAE config adjusted

Anyone speak dutch?

I'm done.

Oh well I'm sorry.

It works fine on my PC and I've tried my best to help you. Perhaps someone else will have the answer.

At least you've managed to get that post count up. At this rate, you'll overtake me! Especially since you haven't transferred it over to your real Amiga yet!!!!! :eek

You'll just have to try (or stick with if you already use it) Amiga in a Box in WinUAE.

Perhaps you'll have better luck once you manage to get the Classicwb over to your real Amiga.

It works for Bloodwych...

It works for me!!!

It will probs work on 90% of other users setups!!

My guess is its either you who doesn't understand properly, or your setup is configured wrong somewhere!!!
