After some fiddling I was able to get my A2091 card playing nice with my TF536 on my Amiga 2000. I had to end up buying upgraded V7.0 ROMs that include some DMA fixes to get it to play nice. I also upgraded the SCSI chip to the 00-08 version (not sure if that helped at all). I was even able to use a CF card on my TF536 after that. The next project is getting my ZZ9900 video card to work, as for some reason my 2000 refuses to POST without the genlock card.

Yeah but all isa are inline with zorro unfortunately. The A2000 is the only one that can take long isa cards without wasting the zorro slots. My dream Amiga would have 5 isa including 3 not inline.

The ZZ9000 has a special TF536 firmware, although with the latest 536 fw update, it might work with a regular firmware as well, but this is untested as we don't have anyone to test it.

Sorry for polluting this thread, but curious what kind of "dream" ISA cards are you dreaming of using in your dream A2000?

I have to admit that I soldered the ISA slots on my A2000EATX - but will I ever use them?!

With a commodore A2386SX bridgeboard (rare!) they can come in quite handy. You need one slot for the I/O card, one for the VGA, and the last one for the bridgeboard itself. If there was another one, you could also add a Soundblaster.

Simple. I have bridgeboards to have the ISA PC side going, and i have some very big rare ISA cards i want to use, such as the Trackstar Plus, which is an Apple II on a card to be able to run Apple II stuff on MSDOS PC. I don't have a PC rig that's old, and i use only the Amiga as a 386/486 vintage PC with bridgeboards and ISA cards. Using the Trackstar would be uber cool, but that means sacrificing a zorro slot and having one less ISA on an A4000/A3000/A4000TX. Only the A2000 has the room for it (maybe A3000T or A4000T) but it is a huge beast to tame. A modern A2000TX with a roomy tower would be nice for that card.
How would the Trackstar card compare to the amiga Apple2000 emulator? Probably more compatible and can use Apple II harddrive images.
For now, i can't use it because my A4000 has only three ISA slots and they are occupied by bridgeboard, VGA card and soundcard.

Other example, there are a lot of nice soundcards which are longer than half size. Anything exceeding the ISA half size makes a zorro slot useless.
That's the limit of the inline slots design.

I do have both the N2630 and the Dicke Olga. After testing the N2630 a little i think the firmware seems to be very "young" an unfinished. The card is really unstable. The IDE speed and CPU speed is slow. I will put it away for a while until more testing and development is done.

The Dicke Olga on the other hand is quite an impressive 030 card. With FPU ! It can be overclocked to 60 mhz. This gives 12500 drystones on sysinfo. 10500 drystones in 50 mhz mode. The software that comes with the card "Maprom020", has this waitstate commands. With a fast CF-card you will get more than 12000 bytes/sec drivespeed if your CF-card works with waitstate 1. You can choose between waitstate 1-15. Waitstate 1 is thhe fastest. The system will of course depend on the induvidual 030 CPU to run stable in 60 mhz mode.
The only thing about the card that irritates me is the 16 GB limit for CF-cards. I do hope for firmware that make the card support 32 GB CF-cards.

Dicke Olga is 100 % stable in my A2000 rev 6.0
Other extensions in my A2000 :
Freeway pro usb card
Ariadne 2 network card
ACE2b 2MB chipmem from Icomp
Indivision ECS V3 from Icomp
AmigaOS 3.2.2.1 with 3.2.2 ROM chips

I will be more than happy to be a tester for this one. Just discovered that my main issue is that I have a bad 28Mhz oscillator making the whole system not work when the genlock card is not installed. I bought my TF536 a little less than a year ago, so it's possible I have the latest firmware. If not I'll get a JTAG programmer and see if I can get it working.

Running Emu68 and ClassicWB ADVSP or OS3.2 is like a Ferrari on steroids! It plays all my music and video files without skipping a beat and WHDload plays all the games as normal. It's also nice to have RTG output to a HDMI monitor without the expense of adding a video card.
Not for the purists but it is a nice affordable option and readily available.
I second your opinion. PiStorm 2K really does the job for me too.
