Found my Sim City is ver. 1.2 and sticker on box state ´no disk-based protection´. Original 1 meg disk is missing and previous owner had apparently copied the original disk..

So these had the manual protection then. The original had disk based protection?

They all had Manual Protection. The Sticker on the box is totally confusing.
Even the 1.2 had the Manual Protection when i remember correctly. The Later Deluxe Bundle had both data/graphic discs included and was called 1.2.2 As far as i am aware is 1.2.2 the only version without copyprotection. Sim City was sold for so long; and even back then it was concerned a modern classic and got budged rereleases, so this makes this all a bit messy; like the sticker on this box |
