Exactly. Plus I'd just pull out my gun and shoot them all and that way they wouldn't turn into ant heads in the sequel.

I've never understood why in Dune II when you destroy your harvester more spice is released than what the harvester was carrying, it's a great tip to gain more spice tho.

Death Mask - some enemies can not walk for some unknown reason (they have legs and are alive and intelligent )
Venus the Flytrap - main hero is capable to fly and have wings so it will be easier to fly above all levels...
Golden Axe - shortest way is by sea, not by land:

In Driver 2, if you as much as touch a train cart (which incidentally is a deserted one), you die. In the same game you can also walk past the wrong side of a barrel in the middle of a town, and drown.

Not really fair to the game though, since they're bugs. Still funny because they're so illogical.

Why isn't Solid Snake's phone set to vibrate? You'd think that the ringtone would give him away.

Most platformers... enemies are charged with 20000 Volts, apparently. If they only had poison on their skin, then you wouldn't die from the slightest touch! (Usually from some fluffy stuffed animal, to boot!)

Most of that 'instant death if 1 pixel overlaps' (or if the collision mistakenly "thinks so") was just idiotic, insane, and yes... illogical.

Andrew Braybrook mentioned 'bombing fuel dumps to tank up' in Scramble as one of those also...

And yes, endless inventory (for example in PC shooters, yeah sure, you can carry all that stuff around...) is a classic... magic pockets...

Exile at least had a 'sigh and smile' type explanation for it: the 'pockets' have like portals to another dimension or something

Nobody mentioned Monty Python yet?

Surely any game in which you get more than one life defies logic. You don't get that luxury in real life (at least Treasure Island Dizzy had the right idea there), nor can you reset and start again when you mess up.

Its connected to his inner ear or something like that (sounds painful). Was explained in the first game.

On topic:
Most (all?) shooters in space have sound effects you shouldnt hear, and you have to constantly trust to keep the velocity.

Why are you on EAB on your birthday that defies logic in itself! You should be celebrating with some girls, ice cream and soda stream machine! Yeah baby

Beyond Shadowgate ( [ Show youtube player ]) - at the start - why you need to open door with key from inside when guard have no time and reason to lock it because of fire inside your prison?
Cyber Force (http://hol.abime.net/4510) - why he can not walk when he has gun in his hands?

Prince of Persia: you can slowly WALK through the spikes, but if you stop in the middle of the spikes and accidentally jump, you DIE!

(even though the fact that you can stand there safely would mean you can jump up exactly horizontally, too, since there CANNOT be any spikes where you're standing! )

non-Amiga:

Zeppelin Rescue (C64, 1982)
I've yet to see clouds that kill you when you touch them...(electrically charged or what? )

Ah. That would explain why I don't know about it.

Well, at least it's better than Superfrog. Touching them from the SIDE kills you. How does that make any sense?

You'd love The Executioner (which happens to be on the Amiga). Deadly chimney smoke!

Lens flares in 3D games while you're clearly not looking though a camara Makes so sense, because with the naked eye you don't have lens flares

I always assumes that was to give more of a movie feel to games?
