The problem I have with that particular advert is that it assumes all copying and trading in an academic situation is going to be breaching copyrights, when at that time a lot of the exchanging was about development and involved completely open source and public domain software, shared expressly for the reason of educating on both the subject of the software and in software development.

There was another advert that focused car boot/market copiers working for a profit, and I do not have a problem with that as those people were making an generally un-taxed fortune thieving other people's work.
