I think in that case it was a non-passthrough model, and the owner has fitted it in his A500 and put the old 512k card in the box, and stuck it in a cupboard, as you do, and it shows up on ebay 15 years later as a 1.5MB card because that's what the box says. This however is probably a decent price, and it looks like it would work alongside a 1.5MB trapdoor expansion.

Thanks! I am definitely going to look into getting one My main A1200 has got a 3.2gb hard drive but i do have a spare A1200 with 10mb RAM and a tiny 85mb hard drive so i will change it to a CF card (just to see what it's like compared to using a hard drive) and also get the ADF transfer kit
