congrats again!
yes i also would like to see this somewhat running on better hardware than stock A500, or in Fast RAM v1 in 1987 and v2 in 1988, was damn too early crazy attempt from sir Linden i just like it (both), very old school everything until typing RUN is just perfect, very C64 style Phill, was that copy lock challenging? seems that in part limits the emulator itself experience, like the DH0 option that in reality doesnt work (in the ipf too) EDIT nice cracktro, and lovely insta-loading |

It was actually the last bit to crack, if you don't clear a certain area in memory, the emulator refuses to load/run files properly. |

Does this have any relation to the BBC BASIC version? Also called The Emulator. Had that one on my A1000, runs really nicely on the pistorm in the Workbench 1.3 slave.

Would be interesting to read a description of how the protection worked.
I've looked through some of Randy's protection code before. He's a very clever guy. |

Excellent work - good to see the cracking scene is still going strong!
Weird thing happened when I booted it on my A500. It's stock apart from a ROM switcher, which only has a 1.3 in there for now (ie. the other slot is empty). When I fire up the emulator it tries changing to the other ROM, which should usually only happen when I hold down Ctrl-A-A for five seconds. I CBA to remove the switcher but I'll find another ROM chip tomorrow and fit it, to see if that prevents it happening. |
