I know there has been much discussion on this game already, but just an FYI to Graham and anyone that uses the link in the first thread for the ADF file:
It asks for a password! I clicked "OK" (leaving password box empty) and it seems to have downloaded successfully. I'll post my uber winning score once I earn it |

Day 3 and some players are over half distance through the game already. Just to finish what I said about the youtube longplay:

I had a bug with the ADF version of the game
I was playing away and suddenly the game cut to the start of the game. I thought I'd lost all my lives, but I'd beaten the top score (my score was over 200K) so it should be as the hiscore (as it was during the game)... which is wasn't - it had reset to the hiscore it had when starting the game (a little over 100K) After playing through a 2nd time I scored a much better score (359930 and got to stage 23) and actually got to the hi-score table this time... and the hi-score is now saved correctly. Does anyone know how bonuses are awarded? I see multiple snowballs (or one ball hitting many baddies) dramatically increases kill bonuses. Edit: Just realised another problem... each shot that hits a bad guy scores 10 points... is milking in this way banned for this game??? Edit2:More woes... the bad guys with the blue padding (helmets): I had only one of them left and he did his spinning thing... only to vanish. Level didn't end... those ghosties appeared and it was game over despite being a good run (no bad guys to kill to end the level). Such a great game is really starting to annoy me Last edited by Lonewolf10; 10 September 2013 at 19:50. |

killing all enemies with one ball drops those 5 cash card thingies. you can easily do this on the first 3 levels.
of the times when i've broken 300k, was when i opened some weird magical door at the top of the screen, which took me to a bonus room which gives you just a couple of seconds to collect stuff before they dissapear. still can't quite figure out what triggers it as i've cleared the enemies with one shot several times, but only occasionally got the magic door |

Ok, the ADF just reset mid-game AGAIN when I had 8 (EIGHT) lives
(It also lost the hiscore, that I earnt earlier - see attached picture) Count me out of this one, unless either a stable ADF is found, or the WHDload version is proven to be stable . 359,930 |

Thanks diablo for the tip with the 5 cash card things... those have helped me achieve the score below (yeah, I know I said I was out... but I had another go with the dodgy ADF )
(I will try the WHDload version tomorrow) 539,830 |

was disappointed with myself on this run.. had a flawless game until level 20 with 10 lives, on the way I got a magic door, 4 sets of cash drops, and i get caught out on the second boss by a bomber (was slightly out of the "magical position") which lost me my speed and snow boosts and was downhill from there if i hadn't made that error i think i'd have been top of the scoreboard again. .....just.... one..... more.... go |

I must say a fun game this is, although the music gets a little repetitive. But you can throw snowballs to the rhythm

@Lonewolf - I uploaded a Zip of several versions of the adfs into the Zone for you. I dont know it its any use as they all seem to be old versions?? The Whdload version is 100% bug free, so that is the best option.
Well done diablo, for now. It's all about The Doors! <cue Riders on the Storm etc> |

Thanks to all for trying to provide stable ADF's, but the ones I tried all had bugs
(I was on a great run earlier - 400K at level 16 - when it reset to the title screen ) I have now switched to the WHDload version and can hopefully start enjoying this game without the annoyances of the ADF versions |

Wow, I hadn't noticed I had posted so much. Do I win anything? Only 1 secret door, a few cash cards and one mini-boss (50,000 points) - those guys near the end of the game that reside at the top of the level shooting down, but vanish once all normal baddies are killed. Oh, I made it to the final boss, but with only 3 lives I was toast 1,434,750 |
