Your only option now is to use an FTP client like Filezilla or use the Grandis.nu file mirror site here https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...9EebUyPyceqang |

Enabling FTP again in chrome is a temporary "fix". That option will be removed later this year.
Chrome 79 -- Support for FTP will be disabled in development versions of Chrome. Flag is added to Chrome to enable FTP support temporarily, and Enterprise policies are made available for controlling FTP support. Chrome 80 -- FTP support is disabled gradually in stable versions of Chrome. Chrome 82 -- FTP support is removed from the browser. There is no option to re-enable support for FTP in Chrome as FTP code is removed from the browser. |

Ok it is bad if u just want to download "one" FTP Link directly but it is more comfortable to use an FTP Client. Chome is a WEBBROWSER no FTP Client. Also Firefox and Opera will drop support soon (or have done it already). Chris |

Exactly1!11! What browsers need is more phoning to the mothership, protection against ad blockers, mobile UI on large desktop screens, to name a few of the most critical ones. That's so much more important for consumers, no doubt about it. All hail Chrome, let Google lead our way into consumer future!1!!1

Chrome is a spyware, first and foremost. And anyway, FTP is part of the web, hence a "webbrowser" should be able to access it. For casual users it's definitely not more comfortable to go through the hassle of installing and configuring an FTP client.
And it has zilch to do with security, it's just one more little step to total control of the internet. |
