You must excuse me Stingray was not my intention to be pedantic ... forgiveness ...
I gave a look again to syntax and you're right :

the error was that I had not read the file from ram: because ut was
on my Compact Flash and now your command is fine but
unfortunately the file is created that contains
some traces of decompressing and the DMS well as you can see.

Thank you for everything

No, the error was that you wrote "dms write:HEIMDL0A.DMS ..." instead of "dms write HEIMDL0A.DMS ..." The colon confused DMS.

That shouldn't be much of a problem as you can just save the important parts of the file using an editor.

@dannypet: dms text test.dms >ram:dms.txt is closer to what you want but will still include the name and copyright info of the program.

If you choose to follow StingRay's advice then your results will stay the same. DMS doesn't do exactly what you asked for, whereas the b command in xDMS does i.e. it just dumps the banner and nothing else.

Sorry for dragging this old thread in from the mud, but if you're on Amiga the best thing to use for this purpose is MaPuS, which is how the banners ended up in the DMS-files in the first place. Or if you feel hacky you could just load the DMS-file straight in to CygnusEd and check around the end of the file which is usually where the FILE_ID.DIZ and board ads sits.

You probably solved it all already, but I posted for other people who might try to find the same info. (:

3 years later!

/Skope
