Yeah, I need to break the warranty too, to install my CF adapter, cable and CF card
I'll be careful with this beast tho', so it should last for an eternity

If there ever was an AmigaKit splashscreen associated with their NOS Escom AT1200s, then, as Kitty says, it was probably installed on the hard drive, and so would only be possible on the 1200HD model.

If it is installed on the hard drive, removal would surely just be a matter of commenting out the line which displays it in the startup-sequence.

37€ in custom taxes! Why on earth would someone write 147€ as value on an Amiga..? I even asked if Amigakit could trick and write a lower value, but no...

A new old stock Amiga is not a modern valuable game or a movie, it's not available all over the world... It's unfair that I get taxes because of this. Disappointed! Oh well, when I get the package later today I hope it's shiny as gold, else I'll be a bit !

You just answered your own question. They do that for a living and aren't some folks on eBay that sell some stuff for fun. Might explain it.

Also I'm guessing putting the wrong value on the package could cause a problem with any potential claim

The only advantage of the Rev 2B is that it has a separate header for connecting a keyboard which helps if you are mounting it in tower.

And some 2B boards does have custom chips that don't get as hot as the earlier revision ones.
But on the other hand, 1D.4 is easier to "timing fix" than 2B... On 2B you might need to add a different resistor and stuff.

Looks like a bridge to fix a broken trace.. Don't touch it, it looks fragile.

Getting mine veeery soon! Can be any moment now, when my dad gets home and drives me to the post office.. That's one bad thing about living in the woods

Never knew about the cooler running custom chips I also heard somewhere that the 2B boards use 60ns chip ram?

That is not a broken trace- that is a new board. It is a jumper wire for FPU timing. It is not required if you do not wish to add an FPU.

Powerpie I was wondering why you sold me a beautiful a1200 with the warranty sticker intact, and then went and did this?
Wouldn't it have been alot cheaper for you to just pick up an accelerator
and upgrade the one you sold? Or did you just want that new computer
smell?

I've still got to mod up a power supply and install my hard drive and accelerator in the unit I got from you.
It's getting a Apollo 1240/40mhz and an 80gb HD.
Now I just need the a Indivision AGA and I'll be done for awhile.

later,
dabone

Even though the seal is intact, doesn't mean the computer isn't used...
Remember, those new old stock A1200 were only used for soak testing at amigakit.eu. Smells like something fresh mom would make right from the oven!
