The little guy from ViroCop his pretty cool, now lame for me has to go to Rise Of The Robots due to mass floppys.

Coolest robot: the dragon in Wonderboy in Monsterland. (the end-of-game boss)

Somebody has to mention the giant Angel robot at the bottom of the pit in CyberCon III, size may not be everything, but it certainly doesn't hurt, and it does offer you several portable fusion reactors if you manage to destroy it.

And the intrepid Hercules in Steel Empire, although I suppose technically that's a Mech.

Worst:
Hmmmmm..... not sure but definitely not anything from Wipe Out! :-)

Turrican 2 has some cool and LARGE robots. The dragon in world 4, or the machine at the end.

On a side not, did any of you play Robotz on the ST? Was this ever available for the Amiga?

I was rather fond of Floyd from Planetfall, though that wasn't strictly an Amiga game. Couldn't have won the game without his help.

Best is by far (as mentioned several times already) Joey from Beneath a Steel Sky, he was actually useful ingame as well as highly amusing. I highly recommend the iphone ipod touch version of the game with voice to enjoy it once again.

Worst, I can't recall any that stand out right now.
