I have seen a few topics about Amiga music, and I never see the Blues Brothers mentioned. Great game, great music.

AMIGA had the best music around. One of the reasons I bought it back in 1992, was after listening the cool music of Turrican 2 on my pal's AMIGA500.
Chris Huelsbeck Rules. Agony - One word... Awesome Apidya - Every level music Assassin - Intro BC Kid - Nice remixed PCE tunes Body Blows - Intro Body Blows Galactic - Intro Chaos Engine - This game's music Rocks! First Samurai - "Oh No My sword!" Jim Power - Cool level & intro tracks Lemmings - You Gotta love this game's music. Mr Nutz - 4 Boss Music Monkey Island 1 and 2 - Cool Project X - Awesome Intro Music R-Type II - Coolest Boss music I've heard Second Samurai - Cool Intro music Superfrog - All Level music, but esecially snow stage music Stardust - I love the cool/techno tracks! (Especially the Title/intro tune) Super Stardust - Same here... Swiv - Intro Turrican Trilogy - Every single track of the series! Last edited by ST Dragon; 28 March 2005 at 12:34. |

Here are my favourites:
Shadow of the Beast (every bloody piece of music) Beast 2, 3 (most) Ruff'n'Tumble (level 1 and 2) Lionheart (level 1 and 2) Turrican II (level 1, ?) Lotus 2 (intro - editing out first little bit) Fire & Ice (High score, level 3) Agony (intro - with edits, level intros - NOT ingame music) Hybris ...and I think I've been brainwashed by the never-ending music in The Settlers and Faery Tale Non-game music: Bubble Dreams (I still don't know who made this awesome mod) Desert Dreams (first 2 mods - with edits) And I still listen to the C64 SID "Synth Sample" (first piece). I've got to mention the following non-game tunes:
- Space Song (from an AF coverdisk) - Allstar (end tune from Axis' Big Time Sensuality demo) - Navigator (superb chiptune from the start of the same demo) - Inside (excellent sampled guitar mod from XTD, available from the aminet http://www.aminet.net/package.php?pa...ets/xtd-19.lha ) I recommend having a browse through XTD's complete collection; many of his mods are excellent. Have a look at this page: http://www.aminet.net/search.php?query=mods+xtd Last edited by ant512; 03 March 2005 at 13:02. |

I forgot about Lion Heart, Alien Breed Series especially SE '92.
One cool tune is the Skid Row-group intro tune in R-Type II cracked. I can't believe no one mentioned Jaguar XJ200! That game's music rocks, especially Thrash Pig! |

I've got an idea. If you've got copies of your favourite music, why don't you make an archive and put it in the zone? You could take your top 5 (no more than 5) and as long as it can be played on an Amiga (with EaglePlayer) then we can all listen to what you consider the best.
Since this music is already freely available on many sites, there should be no copyright problems. I think this would be better than downloading archives all over the place just to find the best. What do you think? If anybody thinks this is a good idea, I'll upload my top 5. |
