Rare just means ebay speak for you havn't tripped over one today on the way to the shitter.

I like the 1011, purchased one to go with my A500.

Amigas are a bit rare in Australia I think, probably cost a fortune new there too when you factor in the charges for shipping

Exactly, and don't forget TONS of disks! I get so mad when I see "tons" of disks and it turns out to be 75 or 100. I propose a new disk description standard for used computer sales:

"massive disk collection" = 1000+ diskettes
"tons of disks" = 750+ diskettes
"huge lot of disks" = 500+ diskettes
"a lot of disks" = 250+ diskettes

Anything below 250 should be either explicitly numbered (i.e. 120 disks) or simply stated as "some disks." Anyone breaking these rules will be subject to a two-hour subway train ride with Fred.

If one were to interpret "tons" literally as a minimum of 2,000 pounds, then if that turns out to be only 75 disks, each would have to weigh in at over 53 pounds. Damn, those really ARE "ULTRA-RARE"! I'd hate to think what they'd do to my disk drives though ...

Hmm ... now this is easy to do, isn't it.
Just imitate your worst school-kid writing, cram lots and lots of TOSEC images on empty "innocent" DD disks and sell them as "boxes full of game disks for Amiga".
Easy money

Hmm, too bad you guys don't live in my area, because I have a complete Amiga 1000 with 1080 monitor for sale ! I want to find someone who wants to pick it up for ~180,- Euro. It is all working but I am afraid the monitor might get broken during shipping ( I know the 1080's gets loose solder joints very quickly when carrying it around too much... ) So I don't want to put it in Ebay but better find a local collector who wants to pick it up. Also have 1010 and 1011 drives for sale.
If anyone wants to buy & pick up these things in Austria/Vienna then just drop me an email or private message.
