Read my profile, i grew up playing amiga games because my dad owned an amiga a500+, and its quite hard seeing games change, I loved turrican as a kid, and then playstation and pc killed it off, so im doing this remake/tribute to hopefully revive those gaming years

sorry for making you feel old! my generation is to be blunt, fucked, i presume swearing is allowed , but i hate it, and i love alot of early 80s music, as only a minority of music today is cool, yeh! my dad is pretty cool! He had to have an amiga because of his job, and he had several word proccessors on that great humble machine!

BOW DOWN TO COMMODORE!!

oops sorry..

anyway, it isn't a given language i'm using, its more like a series of commands, which i find more flexible to program!

no those pics are from the origional games! Im using a program called Multimedia fusion 2, using a language called iclick, a command based language!

I'm a Sylvester Mccoy fan myself, yeh some of the pertwee years where very corny, but i love it, but my favourite period is late 80s doctor who!

Eeek! You're putting this together with a script language? Well, I shouldn't judge before I've seen the result Hope you have made some tests though

NO its not normal scipt, it's command based, easier,a nd more flexible!

lol i have made a test for you all to try!

Its called

MR BLOBBY its basically where you point your mouse over those blob monsters from turrican 2 and they explode in a shower of acid!
The test demo was created in "THE GAMES FACTORY 2" and is not what the final game will be done in!

It's awesome! Now make that game!

(@all: don't discourage him by moaning about this not being programmed in C or C++. We get more Turrican. There can't be enough Turrican games... )

Well, not bad Would like to see them moving and the mouse as crosshairs, but the explosions are quite nice Maybe you could make some animations with your new language next?

You use what you want as long as the end result is a playable turrican clone. But so far you havn't showed us anything. Probably many here who thinks you can't even make the character move and do simple collision detection. The example you made shows nothing really, and using programs like The Games Factory 2 has its limits and can't probably produce a real turrican clone, without real c, c++ coding.

I'm eagerly waiting for something more playable than just an enemy who explodes when clicking on it. Don't you have any earlier work to show?, done nothing in the past?. or you just found this Games Factory 2 and call your self a programmer as it's easy to put things together in it?

That's the spirit!

Everyone could create a Turrican-game using C or C++. Go on and do it your way!

Making it in something like games factory can be a good idea. Faster to develop.

Updated sprites.walen.se with the new tiles, thanks Joe! Now 99 games

I do have alot of earlier games, IM NOT USING GAMES FACTORY 2 FOR THE FINAL GAME, and that mr blobby was just to show some animation, it seems you don't like anyone else making games, im not a threat to your 'position', it's just something I enjoy, now boast about your supposed 'Manhood' somewhere else.

Have a Nice day

HA! I don't care if others makes games, I got nothing to win or lose at that, so no reason for me to feel threated. I just know there's alot of Turrican fans here and don't want them to hope for something new to come unless proof can be provided, which of none have surfaced so far, so just asked if you could put their mind at ease that a new turrican clone could be possible by you if you just showed them you actually have done something in the past (which you still havn't).

And for my manhood, I don't have one :P
