Arnie, oh, thank you!
Say, one 50mb sys partition and an extra partition of 500mb or so. Last edited by spotUP; 20 January 2016 at 12:21. |

You should take the FFS from a 1.3 wb disk or alternatively use pfs3aio. (this one for the ages even though it was done for you) |

Hmmm it's not booting on the replay, and i am using a kick 1.3 with scsi device added and the kick is tested and good.
I might need a boot disk. How would the mountlist for this image look? |

I used the A2091 Install disk. You need to Install Workbench to DH0 .

Arnie, yes but it should still boot to an empty shell without the wb?
Which filesystem did you install to the RDB? |

It should yes. It Installed the default (FFS).
What setup are you using? When you posted about 1.3 scsi I thought you might be using A600. All the HDF's I have made using the A2091, boot from any setup. Do you see the partition if you boot from floppy? |

I'm not sure here.
Is that a standard Kick1.3? Does the replay enable HD booting in KS 1.3? |

Standard kick 1.3 + scsi device.
The replay have nothing extra added to make it boot from hd no. That's why i patched the kickstart. |

Patching the KS alone wont make the HD boot. You need a HD controller.
Usually on a real A500 some people used kippers CFHD which needed the patched KS to boot for 1.3. (other Kickstarts had the scsi.device built in) Normally an A590HD or similar controller is needed for HD's (A500). Does the Replay emulate any of those? |

It will not boot unless you use WB2.1 FFS. Im guessing the Replay emulates controller like minimig. I would test myself, just never got our Replay to work. Rather annoying considering Ive had it here 3 years now. |

O.K I've not got a replay or minimig so I'll STFU now and not confuse the issue more.

Kickstart 1.3 with scsi.device
Dont know if this is what your after.. Too lazy to read the whole thread... But... There is a patched kick 1.3 with scsi.device that should autoboot ide. It has been modified to add a boot-node and boot off the built in ide.
dJos and I were trying to get it to work with kippers ide expansion on an a500 but had no luck. (Works but wont autoboot). I ended up making him a boot floppy with a mountlist that mounts the hdd. I was supposed to look at it for djos (why the autoboot fails) but haven't had the time. Ask dJOS to send you a copy if he doesn't get back to you ask me next week. |
