That is a weird size for an adf indeed. All the copies I can find of Turrican II has the standard size of 901120 bytes.

Again I would simply zip the file and use http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/TransADFGUI to extract onto disk.

Turrican 2 in original format can't be copied back with a standard drive.

Just out of interest (and I suspect it's actually NOT this easy), but do all/ mosty command-line amiga programs work in this way?
i.e you put the drawer in C and then when you want to use it on something, double-click on what you want to use, then put the program name plus a space before it and press enter? |

It's one way of using command-line tools from within WB, which I've used a lot. If you have ClassicWB for example you can also assign ADF files in general to open an ADF writer program (think it's already using TSGUI) even if the file does not have a .info and thus no default tool.

Interesting... I had a 'backup' of this back in the day. But I recall it was a cracked version - could this be why it was able to be copied? Also - when you say 'original' format, I presume you're referring to the original disk without cracks?

Yes there is a turrican 2 disk version compacted on 1 disk. but it's still 880kb. 952kb is an extended ADF ; a normal adf holds no more than 880kb (901120 bytes).

A cracked version would not use a custom disk format, so it would be a standard 880kB. This way it could always be copied.
