I guess the A500 was the one for most, but for me personally, the A3000 was the pinnacle of Amiganess. I mainly messed around in workbench with my Amiga, so I always consider it a power user's machine, instead of a disk based games console. :-)
The A3000 was probably the least cost reduced Amiga ever made, which resulted in a very powerful machine for it's time. The A1000 was over-engineered too, but judging by the folklore from the era, Commodore cheapened it down quite a bit from what it was going to be. The A3000 is not on the list, so my vote is blank. (yay, it's on the list now so I get to vote too. happiness.) A1200 was merely a dying whimper for C= and the A4000 didn't make too many waves either - people were already jumping to PCs at the time.. A1000, it set the way. Every Amiga after it was an addition.
No Amiga after the A1000 created such an enormous gulf in performance between itself and its' competitors. |

Oops I voted wrong. Should have chosen 500 instead of 4000.

How about the mythical A3000+? sure it wasn't released commercially, but the specs were killer for it's time.

I think it has gotta be the A500, it was the first really affordable Amiga and what kicked off the Amiga craze, also it was my first Amiga I can still remember when it first arrived at our house in Hatfield and switching it on, total magic moment!

The 1000 was the first model I saw and it dropped my jaw. It feels like "the original" to me.

I bought an A1000 with the savings from my first job. It helped a lot that didn't have to pay a rent or provide for a family, but still, it wasn't 6150 RT-expensive, it's just that the A500 was dirt cheap in comparison

The A500 is without any doubt the "greatest" AMIGA ever.
And that's not just by sales numbers. The A1000 was very impressive back then and a dream computer for sure. But the A1000 was way too expensive and no computer for the masses. Therefore it's destiny was to be a niche computer right from the beginning. But the A500 changed this dramatically. The impact the A500 created is only comparable to the C64. Without the A500 at least 90% of all AMIGA games and demos wouldn't even exist. And without the A500 most of us wouldn't even know what AMIGA is! And the A500 was a lifesaver for Commodore, otherwise they would have closed their doors long before A3000, A1200, A4000 and CD32 were introduced. Ciao, Rick ... |

Hi-Toro - Lorraine Like a beautiful woman her multiple breadboard arrangement when opened were like the petals of a rose in summer
The 500 for me as it brought the Amiga name into the home. Anything after that is mearly just building on the success of the machine The 500 is also probably the most reliable of the computer in a keyboard Amiga's imo. |

I voted the Amiga 1200 for its sheer versatility and expandability, and for also introducing the AGA chipset (obviously along with the 4000).
The Amiga 500 was the best seller and I was tempted to vote for that, but the Amiga 1200 can still be used in great ways today. |

I voted the Amiga 1200 because will be the future and is today the Amiga most used by the fans
also is the Amiga most used along the time.... The Amiga 500 caused great impact at the time but the legacy was short The A1200 is about 17 years old and it's the computer that almost every fan uses, beautiful design and represent today the world "Amiga" |
