Only problem is that it's MFM to begin with. And that's enough for me to give it a very wide berth.

Shame really, as I was very *slightly* partly interested perhaps in seeing how well WinUAE's debugger could find the checksums as they're happening. Indeed, wouldn't using that debugger make any cracker's life easier? What was the 'hard'/original way of finding checksums back then?

I thought you knew the answer to this already?

Oh come on, MethodGit, give it a go!

Your cracking threads are always very entertaining.

You're never on your own here. You know you always get plenty of hints and encouragement to help you when you get stuck.

Please say "Yes!".

What makes you think I do? I've always used the WinUAE debugger and ARIII here!

And I already said no, as far as I'm concerned this is Galahad's to do when he feels like it - he's one of the top experts on here after all.

Sounds like a good idea to me. Besides, I always left those threads believing that Mr. Northen was the great white chief of copy protections. Now with the Captain and MethodGit talking about Mr.E, it's hard to know what to believe.

Let's say MG does make a crack and; horror of horrors; it gurus on us. So what? No one will be any worse off.

I'm sure it won't be dull if he tries.

Mr Galahad is busy bringing us the season 2013/14 SWOS WHDLoad goodness anyway, so it doesn't seem like we can expect something from his side before christmas. If someone that is interested in these things and in particular into this specific crack, it just seems natural that he should give it his best shot

You got my attention now, is he going to attempt something "special" or will he be simply editing the player names? Because Synchronated is just about to release his usual season update.
I'm thinking about using real league structures for example which if you try changing with the editor the game always end up crashing in carreer mode, always wanted to have that problem sorted out.

If I got it right, he'll support the updates from Syncronated SWOS: http://eab.abime.net/games-images-ne...tml#post912350 (or not... at least he's busy with 'something SWOS related' )

Thanks, didn't notice any activity on that thread will keep an eye on it now. Seems the update will mostly be related to fixing the tactics bug, let's see if he can finally squash it.
Yeah that makes sense, since Synchronated is the man when it comes to SWOS updates.
Sorry for going off-topic.

Seems to be taken from "WHDLoad" info.
They claimed it as 100%.
I wonder, if it is possible to adapt this crack easily to Disk version?

The whdload version isn't 100%, it crashes during accessing one of the terminals in the 'doom' type levels.

Sounds like a future slave update in the works if you ask me.

Why do people always assume that when I make comments like that, I'm going to be doing it?

Never coded WHDLoad, never will.
