Installing Debian is still problematic. Slink runs in cricles after finding the serial port. Sarge will start promising, but then panic with an illegal instruction.
Just unpack the contents of amigainstall.tgz+base2_2.tgz or businesscard.iso in a directory, mount it as harddisk, run an A1200 with 2MB chip + 8MB fast and 68040 MMU, cd into amiga and execute StartInstall. Last edited by gilgamesh; 29 August 2009 at 21:29. |

I'd like to check this out - Sorry for the silly question I cant find the files? "Get all required files from one of Debian's FTP sites, like ftp.debian.org, ftp.de.debian.org etc. A list of mirror sites can be found at http://www.debian.org/distrib/ftplist No matter what mirror site you use, the path should always be: /pub/debian/dists/potato/main/disks-m68k/current These are the files you need: - amigainstall.tgz - base2_2.tgz" |

Use A1200 or A4000 like configuration (IDE). Your screenshot shows A3000 SCSI used without being enabled (and it does not work very well even if you enable it)

http://www.winuae.net/files/b/winuae.zip should fix Linux HyperCOM serial board detection, also includes mulib mmu fix. (WD SCSI still not fixed)
This wasn't as pointless as I originally thought, this will help me to make SCSI emulation more compatible |
