I have tried to submit a few things in their new official forums, but there was never any responses or signs this forum was indeed read by anyone working on OctaMED at the moment...

Sure, it's not the same thing and not the same unit. But. Period is related to frequency the same way as conductance as related to resistance. You change one - you change the other. And there's one thing used pretty darn everywhere by everyone which uses this principle. If you're buying stuff for kg/lbs do you actually measure the mass? No? No. You measure the weight. Which is mass * acceleration due to gravity (which is generally ~9.81m/s2 but deviates slightly in some places around the globe). That little example actually fits with binding wavelength with frequency of acoustic signals in air perfectly
