Remember its just a 50mhz 060 (full 060) Oh and had to dub out the sound as Mrs Fitz started shouting mid video

@cosmicfrog, I think you may want to stay up another 20mins I just done the same with the PPC and the difference is astonishing

Comming up as soon as converted & uploaded.
Awesome!

thanks for that - I am quite impressed that the 060@50 did so well!!!

What screen size/dimension/depth was it in?

You can see him select 800x600 at the start. Hardly playable, but looks quite nice indeed.

Actually Quake 1 in GL is pretty nice on 68k 12-15fps

As TCD says its running 800x600x16 but the lag is all CPU 340x240 will only give 0.5fps gain and it'll probably go right up to 1600x1200

The PPC version will not run on WinUAE its needs a Blizzard PPC or Cyberstorm PPC and these are not emulated.

<--- needs new glasses

I didn't see that selection at all.

I would be interested to see what 640x480x8 would be like running from RAM or even 640x480x15

I don't think Warp3D will support 8bit but 15bit maybe, I will do a video later however 640x480 does not display properly on my LCD TV so the video will have colour wash and flicker. Actually I could try the other Monitor I use for the A4000

I'll run it from Ram so you can see, you want both 68k and PPC again? I'll do one merged video for both

Stevo.

Not sure, but I think even the PC data files (CD) should work.

Quake 2 is still sold (both for PC and Amiga). Not sure about the first Quake (quick Google search didn't came up with a result...).

I was quite impressed with Q2 in the 060. Never thought would have the grunt to pull more than 1fps. Although not ideal, you can really play the 68k version on a 060.

Nice videos, Steve. But I missed the shouting of Ms. Fitz, would have given another sense of reality to the gameplay on the video.

I know I dubbed it out lol, thats why the 68k vid had no sound! She was asking me to come and help with dinner and I was like shshhhh I'm making a video! And she was like fook the Video come and peel the veg!

Thanks by the way

Regarding the PPC version, two words:
