I'm sure I can see "Scavenge" third pile in on top of the Telly just over half way down between the black and red disks...

Put them all on top of the cheap looking TV with the massive magnet in and cheap shielding

It's Witches Brew by Terry Brooks from the Kingdom of Landover series.

I don't know. All those disks and all you can think about are books? Get your priorities right man!

Yeah, I noticed that too! It'll be a good test for the disks' durability!

The thing is, I did that sort of thing for years (not realising the potential consequences of course) and none of my disks ever got damaged from it.

It's an ok telly so it ought to have some shielding? I think I need to be worried more about the paperdust and mould and wondering where they have been for the last 15 years rather than a few hours standing on a portable tv.

The only time I snagged a box of Amiga disks most were junk, but the lady had some in shrinkwrap DD disks that made up for it (Sony ones in white holders, 10 disks per package and maybe 6 packages).

I did get a bunch of originals one time from a guy I purchased a 2000 floppy drivefrom, he just packed the oversized box with original OS disks and apps.
