Unfortunately, this patch sucks in both cases - try to use XEN font in it. TopazPatch handles this without a problem. XEN: vs FIXED: |

for that XEN weirdness, this is because Xen.font is 6x8 pixels, and not 8x8, if you download https://aminet.net/package/text/font/Typeface124 and load xen.font, you can edit its parameters, and change then 6x8 to 8x8, the save it as Xen-Fixed, then run FixFonts and you have a working fixed width Xen font. This allows MCP to use Xen font properly and patches programs better than replacetopaz, replacetopaz seems to work on some programs and ruin others like filemaster3 which ends up with listers showing fine but text in menus all gone horribly wrong, using MCP with the corrected xen font seems to work.

If creator of XEN wanted this font to be so sloppy, he would create one I don't know what ReplaceFont has to do FileMaster? FM has its own font requester and you can choose what you want. My FM looks like this: [ Show youtube player ] (in order not to deviate from topic - this my old video tutorial HippoPlayer Jukebox for CDTV only in polish ) |

Feature-suggestions:
1) Remember last directory where you picked your last played mod (instead of the configured directory in prefs). 2) Remember last played module. Pressing play immediately on startup plays the previously played song. |

btw, back to hippoplayer, can we rename the "Load/Save Program" part to what more people today recognise that as, Load/Save Playlist? also the resulting playlist/program file that is saved starts its first line as "HipPrg" probably to identify it as such? can you change it so if HiP is launched with that program/playlist file, then it auto loads the playlist and auto starts playing. Currently this does work, but only with the playlist used as an arg when ran from CLI/Shell, IE: HIP MYPLAYLIST.PRG (doesnt seem to work the same way via workbench).
Only ask, as i went into deficons, made an entry for #?.hippl (your prg/playlist file when i save one), and got it to launch HiP when i double click your program/playlists files when i double click them, currently however HiP doesnt recognise the playlist this way unless manually loaded or renamed to .prg. You can create a "Datatypes" Descriptor so that a def_hippl.info can be associated with HipPlayer |

yeah done that, but doing so hip doesnt read the playlist file, but if i run HIP PLAYLIST.PRG, PLAYLIST.HIPPL or whatever i name it from CLI/Shell, HIP runs and loads the playlist, but the same doesnt work when run via workbench/deficons. (for me at least)

Rightmouse on the PRG button, LMB = Load a Playlist, RMB = Save one, they are called "module programs", but really mean "Music Playlist".
As with the previous unelegant runindosbox solution i made earlier, i currently have an intermediary launch exe that runs hip from cli using its cli argument "HIP PRGM <filename", which currently works for me, ittl do as a crappy stand-in, until HiP makes this solution irrelevant. quick note, HiP also seems to freeze/lockup when playing some (but not all) MP3's, was listening to a load of the matt gray reformation mp3's for them to freeze HiP when trying to change song/quit the program, workbench isnt locked up, just HiP.
