Had a quick look at this again now that I'm home

When double clicking the icon "X-Mas96" it will load the X-Mas96 image, play a sample and exit when you click the mouse.

These files are needed:

... X-Mas96
... X-Mas96.info (icon file)
... X-MasMan (image file)
... X-MasSmpl (sample file)

I then compressed the main game file "PacMan96" and it's now half the size; which means I could fit all the X-Mas96 stuff onto the disk:

Just not sure if it's worth uploading this disk; I mean, it's just an image + tune and not relevant at all to the game really...

Yes, you could enter X-Mas96 as intro boot floppy (Graphics + Sound)

The files aren't needed for the game itself, but the relevance to the game lies in its first public release......on Christmas Eve 1996

Sounds like a good idea to me! Oh, and re-inclusion of the English/German docs would be handy too (if space permits)......

C'mon Damien, you know you want to.......for the sake of completeness and preservation of the original release! Besides, I wanna include a download link in the HOL entry for the PacMan '96 DDD 101% version* too
* DDD = DamienD Deluxe

if it's not relevant to the game it's probably not worth it. main thing was the extra levels

I'm never one to ignore people's opinions / suggestions... and I do understand; for preservation purposes it's probably best to add in the "X-Mas96" stuff also (even if pointless to the game)

...so, there's new .ADF now in The Zone! that:

a) Boots straight into "X-Mas96" (image with sound sample, exits on left mouse click).
b) Displays the text while loading the game (same as before).
c) Still has both extra levels (same as before).

When loading levels I copied the instructions out of the "pm96vanims.readme" file. There was a much easier way; thanks ransom1122 for point this out

So have just updated the disk one last time... as I've modified the text when booting

New file in The Zone!

Another thing; regarding the System Requirements. I took this information from the "PacMan96_English.Guide":

Code:

PacMan'96 System Requirements:
    Minimum required:
    * an Amiga with OS 2.0 (V36)
    * 68020 Porzessor
    * ~400 kB free ChipMem
    * ~500 kB free FastMem
I can't get the game to run on anything less that 1MB Chip and 512K Slow or Fast RAM...
