Do not use Voodoo3 emulation for the time being If you have not modified anything, on all versions of AmiKit and AROS One it works fine, copy the following into Libs: From Wazp3D you need to copy - StormMesa (All libraries) - soft3d.library - Wazp3D.library-winuae (Rename Warp3D.library) Ixemul-63.1 (All libraries) From QuarkTex - agl.library (overwrite the one installed by Wazp3D) - Folder alib (with the whole folder) EDIT: Tested with different configurations and worked with: Amiga OS 3.1, OS3.2, OS 3.9 RTG and AROS 68K Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 28 December 2023 at 16:22. |

First investigations: Seems that StormMesa fall back to soft rendering : so NOT use Wazp3D for some unknown reason

Wazp3D works with Hardware Rendering, see attached video
You are using WinUAE 32Bit?, did you copy "soft3d.dll" into the WinUAE folder? https://eab.abime.net/zone/VipeOut.zip |

The configuration on WinUAE is important, in addition to the libraries mentioned.
If you want, I can send you my config which you can use with Amikit, any version, as long as you have copied the files mentioned. I can also send you the one for Os 3.1! In the screenshot you can see the execution of AfA One! |

@James
That is not my purpose, I only mentioned the way to make it work on all my operating systems! With agl.library included in Wazp3D, I get a blank screen and then corrupted graphics I gave my advice on what to install to Seiya and not to the developer, also, I did not remember that thellier he was the developer by Wazp3D, and I apologise for that Last edited by AMIGASYSTEM; 28 December 2023 at 12:16. |

While the author obviously knows, another who eventually bump into the message might not, so it's still usefull, since there's more users of Wazp3D then there's authors of Wazp3D! :P

i tested @AMIGAYSTEM setup:
it works, but it seems not use QuarkTex because when i launch the game it create a wazp3d.config. Quarktext has in the archive a Warp3D.library that is 41,3k. in @AMIGASYSTEM Libs: soft3d.library Warp3D.library that is 125k in size i setup A4000 setup with WinUAE (it is only setup that run the game, with A1200 setup not works) using only QuarkTex: Warp3D.library 41k agl.library stormmesa 68k libs Alib in the directory with WinUAE.exe (native code in WinUAE, Direct3D 9 or 11) 2 MB chip RAM, 4 MB RTG, 128 MB RAM: the game start, but crash a little before start the race (the screen freeze) now i test again with Wapz3D |

i saw that there is a strange things:
alib must be keep in winuae directory and also soft3D.dll. In Libs must be present soft3d.library with warp3d.library from Wapz3D, but the game freeze before start the race. i tried also in agl software that run, but freeze before start the race. i don't know why. Trying Amiga 3.1 from @AMIGASYSTEM the game start perfectly and very fast. i tried also to delete warp3d.library and the game start, but freeze at the same screen, before to start the race. So, maybe the game cannot initialize 3D acceleration or boh! Edit: Resolved: it was AHI. Without it. the game has no musics or sound effects, but it works perfectly and very fluid. For Wazp3D if the install is correct then the game use them this way
WipeOut -> agl.library -> Warp3D.library -> soft3d.library -> soft3d.dll -> opengl32.dll all the dll are x86 native on the PC side You can find out if native code is called with Wazp3D-prefs : set Enable debugger + Debug Soft3D then the debug should appear on the PC side outside WinUAE = this is the proof that x86 is called Then if you set "Debug Sepia image" the pixels become pinkish= this is the proof that pixels are software drawn If you set AntiAlias or Filtering and the picture become nicer = this is the proof that Wazp3D draw it But if nothing change then certainly StormMesa just do software rendering on his side :-/ |

however, with AHI 4.18 the game window freeze before start the race. in WinUAE i notice that only 4.18 is very good. Other version i have had problems, but maybe Wipeout require recent AHI version.

of course as Quarktex fully replace the StormMesa library (agl.library) with direct x86 OpenGL calls. Wazp3D was made to replace WaRp3D not StormMesa Buut Wazp3D hard rendering is slower than Wazp3D soft rendering so there is something wrong |
