UPDATE : Ok, pretty sure i have an idea, its defo the card. i also noticed there was a master/slave jumper on there, with no jumper! tiny it is, so i put a jumper on it, set it to master, and i could see it on the Amiga! i configured the drive, and when i went to save it, it spat out an error, "error -1 write", i have never heard of a CF card being write protected, so i tried a small 64M Sandisk, and it work, it partitioned fine, from the Amiga rebooted, and there it was NDOS???? disk ready for formatting, put the 2GB Transcend back in, and its no thanks. Also, when the card was scanned from HDToolbox, the Sandisk showed all sorts of information, model, revision, name, that kinda thing, the Transcend showed nothing, just a tilde symbol for all the fields, am starting to think i will just stick to Sandisk.

Not all Transcend cards are made equal. They probably use several sources for their cards and just put their own stickers on them, so sometimes you will have success, other times not.

Compactflash is a sandisk thing, so it is no surprise that they stick to the specification that says it is IDE compatible. Other manufacturers might play a bit fast and loose, and as long as they work in a camera 99.9% or people wouldn't know the difference.
