I meant there still can be some specific combinations that does not have proper check (especially when multiple different HDFs are mounted). I can't be sure.

Single RDB HDF having "too many" partitions is fixed. Mounting skips remaining "unsupported" partitions.

Beta 3:

- Number of partitions in single UAE HDF was still not correctly restricted to max supported (420b8).
- PPC CPU incorrectly used direct access when accessing Picasso IV byteswap memory regions. (Shogo color error, probably other PPC games/demos too)
- Added support for Picasso IV Zorro II 2M VRAM mode. (J1 jumper in real hardware, VRAM size adjustment in UAE)

D'oh! I started this one...with an A4000 config I use a lot. Native Amiga screen shows, but the Workbench is a black screen. I can hear a sound file play I have in my SS when WB is loaded. After doing some checking, I had to do some clever stuff to get access to the PicassoIV.info to make changes. Laughing. Now the Workbench screen is normal, Shogo looks great, Nightlong as well and the "character" doesn't have any "garbage" around it. Looks as it should from my short tests. Payback PPC loads a Little slower than before...which was super fast, and the menu objects spin fast still (cosmetic). But game play is as it should be...so far.

Well done, Toni!! I'll do some more testing, but it sure is nice to see things in their correct colors. ShogoMAD is a little slow, you're right, but..wasn't really meant for a Picasso 4...hah. Another donation soon (this is a good reminder).

Beta 4: (Possibly final)

- 410b1 sub pixel update broke BPLCON1 scaling in Absolute Inebriation / Virtual Dreams. (Very old glitch was temporarily back..)
- If SPTI CDROM mode: always use IOCTL_CDROM_RAW_READ. Normal 2048 sector read does not necessarily return error (but hangs) if track is not normal 2048 sector size CDROM track.

Not that it means much, best to wait for feedback from the hardcore testers like mark_k, thomas etc

...but I have now finished testing the latest beta with my usual "problem games over the years" and all good Toni

Alien Breed 3D graphics issues

Toni, AB 3D still has some graphics issues when in-game you enter in fullscreen mode (push "Enter" button on numpad).

Weird, it's fine here:

Are you using the floppy disk, CD32 or WHDLoad version?

I'm using the floppy disk version. What stage is that and I'll try to test also?

I don't know if it's the same area, on stage 3 I went into the pool:

I also tried stages 2, 4, 5 and couldn't see any issues.

AB 3D graphics issues

It's CD32 version. The problem appears when automatic scaling is "on". With no scaling "on" everything is fine. Here's my config.

AB 3D CD32 graphics issues

Problem starts with WinUAE 4.2.1 beta 1. Here's my config and statefile. It's strange, because with 4.2 normal screen was broken, but (with automatic scaling "on") fullscreen was OK. 4.2.1 beta 1 fixed (partially) normal screen, but broke fullscreen (when automatic scaling is "on").

Thanks. This is getting really tricky, it seems larger modifications are needed to fully fix this but this was supposed to be only simple bug fix version and this isn't simple fix.. Lets see how non-simple it really is..

First fix attempt. I quickly checked few other games and they still seemed to work fine but there is still chance of something else breaking.

winuae.7z updated.
