I use an old trick to mix by interlacing 4 samples on 2 channels instead of adding them. As the dma runs at 50khz the samples need to be computed at 25khz. It tends to create audio artifacts but at 25khz outside of audio spectrum (but the trick does not work at 12.5 / 25 for this reason). As amiga voice can run at 28khz with corresponding filters, is this kind of mixing used for tracker with more than 4 voices ?
