The 71E41J is the rarest 68060. How may a seller (stachu100) possess 30+ pieces of rare CPU? He 2010-2018 min. 4 cards/year upgraded to 1260, 4×8=32. I found a real 71E41J nowhere. In China all fake.
The normal not fake XC68060RC50 01G65V 75-100 €, 71E41J 110-120 € better. |

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=94627 I do not want to pay the brutal high prices. In 2008 prices on ebay.de: Blizzard 1260 250-300 €, Blizzard 1240 040 200 €, B1230 Mk IV 80-100 €, SCSI kit IV 50-60 €, etc. Now 200-850 €, brutal. Now A1240-1260 upgrade price (220 € stachu100) = in 2008 whole Blizzard 1240 040/40 card price! I bought in Hungary (2008) B1260 060/50 card = 55000 HUF = 220 €! 1 € was 250 HUF, now 325+. |

Retro prices have doubled since 2012. Prices for CD32s have quadrupled since 2016 (and thats my fault according to @Daedalus)

supply and demand simple as that
very little supply with a very high demand unless you wait patiently for a great deal you may just have to bite the bullet everything in retro stuff is demanding $$$ not just amiga Last edited by nexus; 13 October 2018 at 22:16. |

I paid close to £700 for my Apollo 1260 in 2016. I wouldnt sell it for less than £1000.
I think the price being asked for the upgrade is about right. Having said that i'd help recreate the kits but i cant see them costing less than £150 because the CPUs are £100. Sure you could probably buy CPUs for less than £100 ... but you'd have to buy 50 of them to get it at the price you think it should. Retro is very very expensive now. |

Very high demand why??? Everybody may have obtained the machines cheaply until 2008 his collection. There is not big demand now. The dealers = price up, up, up. On ebay 9/10 seller = dealer.

what do you mean why same reason why you need 1
nothing is being made anymore tons of stuff has been recycled or thrown away etc etc etc so high demand low supply just think how many were scraped for gold why you pay $50+ for a old pentium pro |

to get the best stuff which itself is rare for any platform you are gonna pay a premium
and anyone like said above who pays that price sure aint gonna sell to break even so the price goes up each time stuff trades hands i watched CSPPC over the last year+ go from $1000 to over $2000 thats a very short time and now most see phake5 is a scam so they went up even higher what happens when most stuff can only be bought by auctions bid wars of those who just have to have make things worse for the next guy cause next sell is 90% gonna start off where that sold at this rate a CSPPC could be $5k in 2 years we are past its old cheap obsolete era and now into expensive classic vintage era have you ever watch the history channel show american pickers? that will be us in our 60's but looking for electronics/computers etc instead lol plowing through some old warehouse/garage/barn whatever trying to find a score Last edited by nexus; 13 October 2018 at 23:48. |

Demand is high because millennials want them now. Retro is a big thing.
Also not everyone who wanted one had one in 2008. In 2008 owned precisely no Amigas. Not one. I had owned Amigas before (A500, A600, A1200) but I had to get rid of them in my 20s because I had nowhere to store them and I needed the money. Then I had no money then eventually I found I have space and time for retro i start collecting again. There isnt enough machines available for me so i'll pay extra for the ones I want. |

The prices may not rise to the infinity. 1260 cards 650, 850, 1000, 1200 €, etc.. Impossible. The prices should have decreased in 2008-2010 already. Who used the Amiga machines (in 1985-1995) will be too old in 2028-2030. The old machines will not interest the next generation. The prices will decrease.
