The APoV idea goes back to when Twistin', Walker and I started working on HOL - that is years ago now!
Anyway, doing a PDF magazine is hardly an original idea, is it? |

Perhaps this idea was thought of before I did and perhaps there are other examples, its just when I read this thread for the first time, it was like EVERYTHING I had planned was there!
Never mind eh? Id be glad to contribute some reviews to APoV and I might still produce my own mag aswell (theres still one idea of mine left that hasnt be mentioned) ![]() |

It doesn't matter if someone else has the same idea or if there are other examples. All that matters is doing it better than them! Take the HOL, for example...

Last year I and a friend of mine were talking about making a website that had amiga game reviews on it. This one was planned to be quite original, for it would not be a retrogaming site. We'd review the games as if they were just published, as if we were still living the 16-bit era! There would be no indication on modern gaming hardware or software's existency and we planned to shock the innocent visitor a little bit
![]() ![]() I think maybe we may turn APoV into something similar. I personally don't like the term "retro". These games we play on amigas are still as entertaining and as new as the day they were first released. |

We've already come up with your final idea too; the Dastardly brand salad cream.

I agree. Also, it's very difficult to disregard the years since and review games as if you're still in the early 90s.

Good article, with some valid points.
We'll try and take most of this onboard when deciding on the writing style. |

Due to recent staff changes, APoV has a vacancy for a Graphics Artist.
The role will primarily be to create 2D bitmap or vector artwork e.g. the main APoV logo and graphics to be used within sections of the mag. The numerous job benefits include: - To be part of a well-organised and dedicated team. - Flexible working hours. - Good pay.* - A chance to be part of a historic Amiga project. - To be able to work with Cody Jarrett. - Flexible working hours. - Good pay.* - To be able to work with Cody Jarrett. - Flexible working hours. - To be part of a well-organised and dedicated team. Requirements include: - Great at graphics work. - Dedication. - To be an Amiga fan! One (or more!) of you lucky people may soon meet APoV like the buttered side of a piece of toast meeting the kitchen floor. Email or PM me. * Not strictly true. Okay, not true at all. |
