Might I suggest one possible optimization, at least for the WB itself - go into Palette prefs and swap "Bright Edges" and "Dark Edges"? It always irked the hell out of me that Commodore swapped the black and white pens between the 1.x look and the 2.x look.

Edit: Urgh, missed that you said it would be based on 2.1. Anyone know of any tools for 2.x that can do the same thing? Or would it be worth upgrading it to 3.1 for that one feature? Or perhaps remapping ALL icons and swapping the actual palette entries back? (Damn, but then the title bar would be black...) Just trying to help make this look as nostalgically stunning as it can

Edit2: Also, if you'd like, I'll sit down some time tomorrow and save out copies of the 1.x Topaz fonts for use in your pack.

I'll look into the edges thing LocalH. If you could drop those fonts in the zone, then that would be great thanks.

Ok, they're in the Zone, LHA'd. The font name is "topaz13", and I have already switched my CWB Full setup to use it instead of the ROM font =P

A bunny jumping over a turtle is a logical icon for a ram disk.

LOL, true Photon. Limited number of icons to choose from under 1.3, but they do have a certain charm.

mazxim I'm afraid I haven't done anymore work on it yet. The initial push came while I was off work and had some free time. I'm not sure when I'll take it back up again. I know it's frustrating to wait, but I don't have the free time available these days.

Role on retirement!!!!

Hey Bloodwych, if you're after a good Kick-1.x-friendly version of LhA, I unearthed v1.94 of the program from one of the Aminet CDs, though I have nothing to verify that it's the last version before Kick 1.x support got dropped. See this thread for more info.

But that wasn't the RAM disk icon under 1.3, was it? It was something to do with FASTmem, hence the Rabbit/Tortoise race themed icon.

Update on progress given in opening post. 4-colour WB 1.3 themed options added to the GAAE, 68k and LITE packs.

These will be released very soon.

I am a little crazy for doing this - but no one else seems to have done this and released it. Just filling in the gaps.

Plus, it's better than the boring grey 4 colour Workbench that replaced 1.3!

1.3 has character, I like the old style pointer and the 1.3 icons look better with Copper backgrounds than the default white generic 2.1+ set - you almost forget it's 4 colour only!

I've included this in all the packs.

Hi gibs, not my video - that was the original vid that I saw which inspired me to create some WB 1.3 themes for the ClassicWB 68k and LITE packs.

No Scalos - only creating themes for the lower three Workbench packs at the moment.

As mentioned in the opening post, I hope to release a Work/addon partition with all the old school software and 1.3 compatible games to go with these packs. That will be sometime in the future however.

Big fan of your Tiny Launcher too - perhaps we can put it in the ClassicWB packs in the future once development comes to a slow. Make a nice boot time option.
