Thanks, I finally did it and FW plays fine in Deliplayer. This new player "half-breaks" Mighty Bombjack, haven't tried other MC stuff. It plays the music, but cannot play the sfx (old one attached here does).

Due this is only music/song player. Most of Amiga music formats has SFX too, for most cases SFX are handled only if used this same initialisation code.

The SMUS-ICFTD Demo rip plays ok, but is missing many tunes. The TINY rip seems complete, but not all tracks are played correctly. Only 1 or 2 channels are heard. Deliplayers reports Sonix Music Driver as active player.

Thanks for infos. I found reason, some samples are shortest (modified) than original. You can use demo samples for play TINY songs (only two samples are missing for two songs) or you must wait for next update of the WT page (I want to rip first TINY songs from Lords of The Rising Sun).

One last note on Cinemaware, some older tunes (DOTCrown-Sinbad) seem to play ok, but at a very slow tempo.

Caching seems disabled by default in DP. Some tunes play at correct speed (2nd and 5th for example, in the WT .lha download). If you mean the DOTC title theme yes, that plays for 80 sec. here too (the 1st tune). However, that's very slow compared to the actual game, which you can hear right away
[ Show youtube player ]. The delays in the video are caused by floppy disk access, I so remember that.
update: the correct 2nd tune can be heard at the video's 0:51. Last edited by wanderer; 30 May 2011 at 14:51. |

Or you can edit songs speed values direct into source code or exe file. Here are song/timer speed values for DOTC songs: IbW0008AA dc.w 2 ; 1st song dc.l $EA60 ; timer value BbW0006EE dc.w 2 ; 2nd song dc.l $A410 ; timer value etc. DbL000660 dc.w 2 ; 3rd song dc.l $9470 RbW000572 dc.w 2 ; 4th song dc.l $EA60 SbW0007FE dc.w 2 ; 5th song dc.l $AFC8 MbW00081C dc.w 2 ; 6th song dc.l $101D0 UbW000F70 dc.w 2 ; 7th song dc.l $BB80 WbW000630 dc.w 2 ; 8th song dc.l $AFC8 TbW0006FC dc.w 2 ; 9th song dc.l $EA60 For example you can replace $0000EA60 first song timer value with $0000A410, and music will be works fastest. If game uses different (not original) timer values, then perhaps you can rip these values from memory dump, when music is played. Or you can calc these values manual from next equal: oldtimer*newtimeinsecs/oldtimeinsecs=newtimer f.e. $EA60*50s/80s= I don't want to change original Bill Williams timer values to used by Amiga game. This music is conversion of Jim Cuomo scores, perhaps from C64 and perhaps uses original song speed, but I don't check SID version. |

Is the Stormlord music playable on a PC? I've also tried to find C64 versions and play them, but failed again. Any ideas?
To anyone who missed this: there's a stunning Stormlord remix here, where the title has been transformed to a beautiful, Italian song! (English lyrics available). (I'm not sure if I thanked you for the info on the previous post, Don. Thanks!) |

Hello again everyone,
Always had trouble playing IFF-8SVX files in DeliPlayer. For example, those found here in James Pond 2 CD32 (8svx.Intro, 8svx.Main). Always getting "...was identified as 'IFF-8SVX' but is invalid". Any ideas? |

Thanks koobo. Any more info reported from HippoPlayer about the file format?
