Oh god no, not MUI based please.
Although I don't really see the point in any of this, I would be just fine with an online digital store stocking these programs. My Amiga is not connected to the Internet and it never will be, but I can easily transfer stuff over.

Also it'd be much nicer for a renowned and established platform like Steam to actually support other systems like Amiga or C64, and distribute games for said platforms through them.

just my 2p worth I'd rather have a basic version even though I've got an '060 and 32Mb, I don't really go in for fancy graphics. Or even a shell command-line version would do me.

Amistore looks good. When will vouchers/credits be available to buy? My birthday is coming up in June and peeps want to buy...

Also can the credits be exchanged for amigakit hardware?

If you do not own AmigaOS4 you do not have to care about the look. It is a "native" application that means PPC. If I am wrong AmigaKit or Trevor can correct me.

We are planning the Classic AmigaOS version too - the AMIStore is for AmigaOS.

If the "PR" department called Amigakit is so active I must do some too :-)

There is also a new AppStore originated from Aros-Community but supporting lots of platforms including 68k. There will be both text client and graphical client (early version of text client already in Aros Vision included).

IMHO, still too few Classics are actually connected to the internet.

While getting Internet on the A600/A1200 is relatively easy thanks to PCMCIA network cards, most people have an SD/CF card reader stuck in there most of the time, and the A500 is just out of the games, at least for now (IIRC, Jens said a network add-on would come out soon?).

I remember buying a PCMCIA network card for my 1200 (when it was my main machine) but never getting around to actually using it. I had the SD card reader in there all the time to transfer games to the CF

And for us big-box users.... I don't really want to pay 100+ EURs for something I will use a few times a month (you know, you can't really surf on many sites on Classics...) just for downloading something from Aminet, FTPs and/or AMIstore.

We need a CHEAP network (WiFi, preferably) card for Zorro-equipped Amigas. Something around 40/50EURs... Maybe a Zorro->PCMCIA bridge? IF it's doable it shouldn't cost that much, and users could just keep buying the cheap PCMCIA WiFi/Ethernet cards!

Make it happen, Amigakit!

I dont bother using cards to transfer games or files - For me its simpler to leave the network card plugged into the PCMCIA and download the files off a shared network folder.

Just a thought.

@amigakit.

As previously asked, can my family and friends get Amigakit/amistore vouchers now in time for my big FOUR O in June?

I am just implementing the feature of viewing your friend's wish list and gifting friends which is taking more time than anticipated.
