Its not for Sale, sorry.
You can download the Project Files from http://www.gb97816.homepage.t-online.de/ The PCB will not be cheap and some Parts are rare. |

This is awesome!!! Minor revision on the battery.... but hey what do you want for a wooden nickel? ![]() Now if someone could do something like that for an A500? Come to think of it why would you need an A500 or an A2000? Everything you need is already on the board except maybe a video enhancement card for 24bit video. Does he take mod requests? ![]() |

Does someone here have any idea of what price-range we'd be talking about per pcb if let's say 10 or so were ordered ??
I am sure we can find about that many people interested if the price is right ![]() |

Well you could try this company http://www.futurlec.com they have a PCB fabrication service, so you might get the basic motherboard pcb quite cheap, then you will have to populate it. that could cost a few quid, BUT i beleive you could get the lot and do it yourself for around £150, mind you if it doesn't work you will only have yourself to fall back on. however i would be tempted to change some of the things on the board, mainly the memory, (use a 72pin simm for starters) and faster chiprams etc. |

thanks for the link Zetr0, I'll check it out
![]() I myself am a total beginner at soldering so I'll have to find someone who knows what he/she is doing and persuade the person to help me out (bribe if necessary hehehe)... if I can get the pcb for the 2-300 us$ I'll be fine with the other costs too... after all, I have found out that the A1000 case is about 10 cm too narrow to fit an A1200 motherboard ![]() |

You can let produce boards for less than 100€ per piece at a minimum of 10 boards.

@Z: I think the on-board memory is good enough (albeit expensive): Georg build it with SRAM. Hmm... ![]() Good idea for our accelerator... At least for the EC020 version... ![]() 4Mb of SRAM could be not THAT expensive... ![]() |

@Kristian
try Futurlec they have a wonderfull service there, ( i have not been let down yet ) they have a PCB manufacturing service, all you do is tell them the number of layers, the width, length and if you want solder masks / silk screen and then you send them an email with the eagle board attached. I have taken the liberty to find out how much the board would cost to make its not as bad as one initially thinks Code:
Printed Circuit Board Service Step 6: Board Summary Length: 342.00 mm Width: 315.00 mm Area: 107730.00 mm sq Board Type: Double-Sided Silk Screen: Yes Solder Mask: Yes Printed Circuit Board Quotation Qty Description Each Total 1 Double-Sided Printed Circuit Boards 107.73 107.73 1 Silk-Screening for above boards 12.00 12.00 2 Solder-Mask for above boards 12.00 24.00 1 Setup and Artwork for above boards 15.00 15.00 Total (USD) 158.73 However the above is just half the story, next you have to populate it that will be around another $150USD. then you gotta build it ![]() oh and dont forget delivery and stock availability as well. |

I mailed them but forgot the masks / silk part and I also forgot to attach the board schematics *dumb dumb dumb* ups!!
I don't have a proggy to read the board schematics... are the .brd and .sch files from Georg's site the ones I'd need to mail them ?? Btw Zetr0, I'm afraid the board is 4 layers not 2 according to what I heard on Amiga.org ![]() |

I checked out this place: http://www.pcbfabrication.com and the prices are pretty good!
If I figured it out correctly (I am quite sure I did!) the price for 1 board is: 1 board: us$ 360 per board 5 boards: us$ 168 per board 10 boards us$ 106 per board Does anyone have any experience with this company? Also I'd prefer if someone who knows these things inside out can help check out I did get the right quotation... Here is what I filled in: 4 layer board Single board with 1 board per panel board length: 317 mm board width: 342 mm peelable soldermask: both sides solder mask: 2 sides (blue board) silkscreen: 2 sides (white) minimum trace/space: 9-10 mil minimum hole size: 17-18 mil electrical test: yes material: Fr4 board thickness: 1.6 mm finished copper weight: 35um for top, inside and bottom layers board finish: hot air solder leveled stencil: none blind via hole: no controlled impedance: no buried via hole: no controlled dielectric: no Please, please let me know if these are all the correct settings... I am only sure about the dimensions and material. |

@Kristian95
alas i have not used that service, however I have loaded the board into eagle, and although it is 4 layers, two of the layers (route 2/3) you could re-work with 28AWG wire as theres very little that connects to them. Infact if i get time (and eagle lets me), i may be able re-work his design for two layers. if you need tools etc, try here ![]() hope that helps. to be honest, I believe that it might be worth contacting futurlec to see if they can manufacture this board, as i am sure you can get it manufactured a LOT cheaper than $360USD Last edited by Zetr0; 31 May 2008 at 11:58. |
