FWIW:
I've never seen to purpose of keeping the RF-Shields in place & removing the top one will gain 'breathing-space'.

IMO:
The IDE cradle is something else you can do without for space considerations...
...either you can stick the IDE drive somewhere suitable or go IDE->CF which will save even more space & as a bonus using the CF-Card with UAE can be a useful file-transfer system.

Thanks rkauer, .

EDIT:- Just bought a 4MB DRAM PCMCIA card for £5, so hopefully that will make whdload games run better on my A600.

arse...... i didnt get to it in time.....

most (if not all) PCMCIA DRAM cards are infact a Toshiba Hybrid that runs on a slightly different voltage, compounded to this is the staggard row interface compared to the one thats required (parallel row)... let me see if i can find a pic.

PCMCIA

hmmm i cannot at the moment find any toshiba / hybrid connector pics. i shall take some pics later...

If the connector is parallel like in the pic I posted then it stands a chance in working as there ARE PCMCIA type 1 DRAM cards, these are few and far between, have you got a link to the one you bought m8y, I may well be able to help.
