Super Street Fighter II AGA definitely has a fucked palette. If you take a screenshot and adjust the palette, it looks fine. And apart from the backgrounds, there's something else that's seriously wrong...

Cammy is brown!

Cammy never had a tan, yuck! She's a white girl who wears sunscreen, not an idiot who wants skin cancer. She looks a bit better in OCS, even though she has less colours.

Somehow the WHD version fails for me. BTW a CD32 version definitely would be better.

Dunno but this looks like a C64 conversion. gfx have been totally scr*wed up. At least is it fast enough?
Can't understand why the creators did not use the gfx from the arcade version, or any console release? looks ugly. Still wanna give a try, but...

I checked MagixFTP for you. It´s not there yet.

I´d say SSF2 AGA is as fast as the arcade version.

Hmmm, I could upload it to Magix's FTP server for you but...

To be honest this game is sooooo shite. You'll probably only play it once or twice and then never go back to it again. Can't bring myself to waste the bandwidth, especially as it's 405MB WinRAR'd

IMHO all "Street Fighter II" games on the Amiga are pants. Graphics suck, slow loading, bad controls due to not enough buttons on Amiga joysticks etc...

I'm with Alex, play the arcade version via MAME. It's the original and definitely the best. The SNES version is also very cool

The graphics are shit and if your showing of your Amiga you need to hide this game but with a CD32 Pad it does have good Playability probably the best of all Amiga Fighting Games.Rebel-CD32 also pointed out the strange pallete.
I cant help thinking maybe SSF2Turbo was made on a Expanded machine and then cut down for release on a standard 020 2mb.

If you guys have Issue 79 of The One magazine, there's an in-depth preview of SSFII, where they explain that it was ported from the SNES of all things.

http://amr.abime.net/issue_362

It seems like it was a very complicated process for them to convert everything. The game plays great, but it just looks crap.

I can´t believe professional printing is THAT inaccurate.
You simply make a terrible assumption and mistake.

Print works on CMYK system, while you are looking at RGB screenshots.
The color conversion DOES BRING a difference, and of course, all mags usually work on standard gear, so the conversion to post color, yields similar results.

Also, your 'analysis" with Cloanto PPaint... a screenshot using that palette doesn't mean that was teh palette in use in the game... you can't trust an emulator screenshot, please.

You´re right about CMYK and RGB for sure.
And of course you can´t call my little PPaint test an analysis.
(the copper is also there...)

I just wanted to find an evidence if it´s possible that they messed up the palette.

I´m going to find a playable demo of SSF2 AGA.
Perhaps it has the proper palette...

What Akira said really.... RGB>CMYK conversion is a b**ch. You may have dark blue in RGB and in CMYK it's turned pitch black. Proper conversion tables have helped things lately, but still differences exist at large because of this process.

@all

I'm currently uploading SSF2 Turbo CD32 to Magix FTP.

The connection to the ftp broke once, resumed it, and FileZilla says finished in 2 hours. Not passing 33Kb/s tough. Max on my line is 64Kb/s
