I just made a Photo, but my crappy camera wont show it very well.

BUT you know what the worst thing is ?
I payed about 50 euro ( with shipping ) and i wont get my money back
They even said " we dont need customers like you "

No E-Mail response to my humble mails ... nothing....
I have to PHONE them, and that alone cost me a fortune !!
( To call from Austria to Germany is expensive )
And even then he talked about some other stuff .....

WHAT THE ???
Just because they dont have an Amiga CD32 for testing.
I also send them back, but they say "its alright"

I never ever will buy again vom Vesalia.

Pfff, i can make my own power supply.
( some +5 +12 power supply from some external harddisc powersupply will do , THANKS Vesalia )

Anyway, greetings to all Amiga Friends.

( i am an Amiga User since the beginning, but i only have left my Amiga CD32´s ( one with the SX32-Pro and CF Card )

I use them mostly for gaming and i support WHDLOAD (so should you )
MY world is not complete witout Turrican2/1 , Lionheart , Ruff n Tumble ...

I have made some of those for 1541-II use in the past and yes, they create interference to some monitors even through the IEC serial cable that connects the 1541 to the C-64. :-)

Chinese quality.

@nibbler

Try a 'clip on ferrite' noise suppressor from your favourite auction site. Measure the cable diameter and pick one of the same size or a bit bigger. They help cut down noise and are a cheap fix.

@Riempie

Define not stable?

Does the display flicker, does it occasionally fail to boot up?

I would not trust these chinese adapters. I had one like this that I got with USB to IDE/SATA adapter. It blew after about two hours of use, and that was with HDD which I suppose uses less power than CD32.

Noise is another issue. I ordered few 12V adapters for about $10 each. I planned to use them with pico PSUs to replace/fix dead A500 PSUs. They worked, mostly, some of them blew, but with every one of them I had noise on the screen. At first I thought pico PSUs were at fault but when I tried adapter from my HTPC picture was clear.

It seems it's not that easy to find decent quality power adapters .

Don't trust those cheapo Chinese 5V/12V power supplies - I'm on my 4th one now

I only use them for external hard drives though - I wouldn't trust my Amiga stuff with them!

I had a cheap phone charger from Argos, thought it should be reputable its from a big name store. Had it three days before it made a bang and a poof of smoke from it. I bought a Samsung on the second time. Lesson learned, it's not just ebay that has this crap!

Is there a saying: "Poor man pays twice"?

So far I'm lucky with my cheap stuff I get from Ebay.

I have the same cheap PSU as Kipper2k for my 1541-II and while it is still working, I get noise on the C64 video output when the IEC cable is connected and the floppy drive is turned on (does not have to be running).

Yeah , those PSU are really a piece of ......... you know...

ANYWAY...
I uses my multimeter on the Vesalia PSU.
( also a crappy one , and they dont even test them on a real hardware... AMIGA SERVICE ? my a.. )

The are even a little bit to weak ( aside from all those Interference noise )

What a piece of ... you know hihi

MY A-500 Power supply is stronger and runs super stable ( also , multimeter tested )
and they are pretty easy to find.

Or just use an PC-AT PSU and rewire the CD32 plug on it. ( multimeter is a MUST !! )

greetings

They are all crap, in most modern PC switchmode supplies there are footprints on the PCB
for RF supression, but the parts are omitted for cost effectiveness.
The genuine Amiga supplies with big transformers are linear supplies.

Since the CD32 doesn’t require a -12 Volt rail,
I was planning on using a 2 channel lab/bench supply where the distortion is quoted.

If only Versalia would listen, but the don´t.

I try´d it a few times; no response and the still sell them for the Cd32 pfff
I am glad i found a ORIGINAL CD32 power supply

(but the A-500 supply works also really great to
