I wouldn't call this a game. It's more a bad joke.

Well if memory serves me, this was Team 17's first "commercial" release, but prior to Alien Breed, they called themselves Team 7 and were making budget titles. So there may be some truth to this... I will admit that i never truly got into the first Alien Breed game all that much and became more accustomed to Part 2 and AB3D than this one.

Knew it. Be it "Alien Breed", "Superfrog" or "Project X" - they all have pretty clean - albeit somehow bland - graphics, yet all seem to miss something important: quality game-design.

Getting the hang of this a bit now, level three proved to be my undoing though.

Right, as Lemon still seems to be down, if anyone on the Lemon side has a score they want to post then it would be easier for them do it on here while Lemon can't be accessed.

Obviously when it's back, we're back to normal.

Hmmm.. just one question! ... Are there some on here playing Alien Breed SE and some on here playing the "true" original first version of Alien Breed? I am just a little curious, since the SE version of any Team 17 game always ended up being easier than the first version.

So what's everyone playing?

If there is anyone who is playing the Special Edition, kindly let me know so I can disqualify your score (I can't imagine there is though.)

It has to be the original game, it's what was voted for the most. SE is pretty much an entirely different game (and I think a better one too). But if anyone wants to vote for SE in the future then feel free.

This one is not much fun (especially after playing AB2).

Oh crap! I finished the game for the first time ever. After watching the ending the game shows you a nice picture and there is no return to menu and you cannot see your score. Be aware not to reach the exit of Level 6 if you want to submit your score in this competition

That's bad news mailman
I bet you had the top score. Now this is a serious fault to the competition. I don't remember, but is there a computer terminal before the exit? Then that could be used to show the score.

In the last level I haven't spotted any terminal. Everything is alienish so seeing terminal there would be a bit odd What's more, after killing the mother alien destruction sequence initiates. When it is initiated you cannot enter terminal.

Anyway you are the winner of the hearts mailman
I'm curious what Graham sais about this. It's really bad that once you completed that hard game you get no final score.

Yeah - this is a potentially serious problem. Clearly no one's ever meant to complete this game.

We're gonna have to knock heads on this, and try to confirm the problem.

Guys, I would not make a huge problem out of it. After killing mother alien you just have to commit suicide and you will get the score. I will try to play again. The world does not collapse because of that

@TheCyberDruid

Not necesserly I could have got the highest score. More aliens you kill, more points you get. In level 5 and 6 I mostly avoided them, so it is possible I haven't beaten john4p.

You are right mailman we just have to let the 'doom counter' run down (when we managed to survive that long ). Thanks for the info.
john must have spend all his money on ammo to kill that much aliens. That's what I call good management He gets the highscore even if he hates the game
